The service was very good. The wait staff was attentive and checked on us at good intervals. The duck was very good. My wife got the black grouper and she said it was slightly overcooked. All in all, great experience and we will return.

I've been to this restaurant many times. It's hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, but other times it's pretty average. The steak tartare that I ordered this time was very disappointing. The steak itself had a dark shade, more like purple, rather than the fresh red that you would expect from raw steak recently chopped up. And it was rather bland.

Very disappointed in the Mussels and clams appetizer. The clams were as small as the finely diced onions. And the mussels were so small they had no taste. If they had warned me I would have chosen a different appetizer. The Scottish Salmon with crusted pesto was very good.

As always, a fantastic meal at La Scala. Great oysters, she crab soup, and fish specials made for a wonderful experience. 
We had an absolutely lovely birthday dinner for my daughter;) I had not been to La Scala in many years. It was always a nice place to have dinner. My daughter lives in Rome I live in Cartersville. I absolutely would drive regularly from Cartersville to Rome to have a lovely dinner at La Scala. I've told so many friends. The food was fantastic absolutely Chef worthy ,our server was impeccable he was knowledgeable, friendly, and took care of our table and several others with wonderful finesse . I usually don't write such long reviews, but I really really really enjoyed our meal there in our time. I would definitely go back and I suggest anybody else do so too.

The food and variety were excellent. They were very accommodating to our food allergies and sensitivities. My only complaint was that there were a lot of obnoxiously loud patrons. We were in a small alcove and some were annoyingly loud such that we could barely carry on a conversation. Maybe have an area for tables of 3 would fix that. The service was excellent.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu items and did a great presentation of the menu specials for that day. She was a bit timid at first because our group didn’t give specifics on how the food orders would be made. The food was served piping hot and everything was presented within ample time considering the large group in attendance for the party. My wife and I have already decided to visit the restaurant again for a date night meal.
