Everything was delicious. The portions were so large we had to take some home! Our server was very attentive and helpful. We were visiting from the Atlanta area and surprised but their reasonable prices for such quality dining.

Price gouging at it's worst. Not what we expected. There is no excuse for the prices they charge for the food served. There were too many things gone wrong for me to list, but here are a few. 1. Clean ceilings and fixtures of the dirty dusty webs. 2. I asked for a scotch neat but got it with a ton of ice. When I pointed this out, they took the drink away but brought me back same drink minus the ice.. all watered down. Presentation and food temperature was not right. Almost $7 an oyster, they were good but not worth that price. This is upscale done wrong.
The trout was… not bad. My wife loved the pompano.
The texture of my polenta varied from one bite to the next? There was quite a lot of it, probably half a plate full?
My roasted potatoes were mostly good. A few of them were tough, on the outside.
My wife said the kale was good. I’ll take her word for it LOL
The triple chocolate cake was extremely rich. I was glad we split a piece.
The night we were there, there was a largish group at a nearby table, so we got to hear half of the conversation at their table. With reservations, we were seated right in the middle of the room… hardly intimate!
Oh, and if you’re of even average height, watch your head as you walk through the dining room! I’m 6’1” and slammed my head into the light fixture that was almost immediately above my chair. Hard!
Also, if you enter from Broad Street the way you would think from the address, you have to go up a flight of stairs, through the bar, and across the dining room to the host(ess). The “front door” is actually at the rear of the building.
Parking: There’s a bit of street parking… if you don’t mind walking a block or two. There’s also a public garage around the corner on 4th, and I’m pretty sure there’s a paid lot (with EV charging) a few blocks away.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible at all from Broad Street! There’s a flight of stairs! If you go around back (where the real front door seems to be anyway) you shouldn’t have a problem.

Absolute best ribeye in town. It’s a no-brainer for date night if we’re willing to drop some cash. Wine selection is great!

My family of five enjoyed a delicious dinner at La Scala. Service was really wonderful - attentive, kind, and helpful. The food was incredible. We had the pear pasta (three of us as it's a favorite), scui scui pasta, and the mahi special and everyone loved their meal. We also enjoyed the calamari appetizer and tried a special appetizer (peppers and pancetta but I can't remember what it was called) and they were excellent as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with delicious food and cocktails. We will be back!

We found this gem last year when passing through Rome. Looked for it again this year hoping the food and experience would be the same. We were not disappointed. We chose to sit at the bar both times and enjoyed excellent food, fantastic service from Lisa, the bartender. It is an atmosphere that encourages conversation with other guests. The friendliness is the highlight, but the food ranks up there with the best. Looking forward to our next visit! Bonus- they are able to accommodate food allergies and sensitivities.
