Great food. They REALLY need to implement the practice of sending people around in the pick-up line if their food isn’t ready; I’ve wasted lots of time waiting behind cars knowing my food is sitting on the shelf.

Atmosphere was unwelcoming, and made my family wish we had ate somewhere else. Service was the worst of it. The young lady working front counter at 6:28 pm on 2/1/25 was the most unhappy, impatient, and abrasive server I have encountered at a restaurant in Rome Ga. Food was not good enough to deal with the bad service and unwelcoming facility.

We ordered online and went to pick up our food. The manager named Doug, said the food had not been paid for. I showed him the order confirmation on my phone but he continued to rudely insist the food had not been paid for. We went ahead and paid for it. After checking my bank account later, I realized that we had already been charged for the order- $35.05. Doug, being the manager, should have realized it was already paid for. We don't trust them anymore and we won't be back.

We ordered our food at 1:25 pm, and it is now 1:57 pm and we are still sitting here waiting on our food. We ordered two half sandwich/half soup meals with water. There are 4 people working and only 6 other customers in the restaurant. Half an hour is entirely too long to be waiting for food under these circumstances. The food might taste good when it gets here (not sure about that yet), but the wait is not worth it.
Update: after 35 minutes of waiting, we asked them about our food. Turns out they hadn't even started making it. Without any apologies whatsoever they asked if we wanted to wait another 10 minutes for our food or if we just wanted a refund and no food. We took the refund and walked out.
If you're thinking of getting food here, go to Doug's Deli or Panera (or Jersey Mike's if you don't want to leave the parking lot). It's a much better use of your time.

Extremely long wait for our food. There was barely anyone in the resteraunt. Everyone after us got food before we did. Do not reccomend going if you're in a hurry. Go to Dougs Deli or Panera instead

First time in, last time in. Wanted to check it out since we're new to the area. The young lady that took my order was courteous. Ordered half a BLT+ avocado and a cup of soup to go. The sandwich was fresh, tasty, and my order was quick. However, I just spent $13 on a BLT+ avocado with NO avocado. Kind of disappointing when you're looking forward to it. Not a great way to keep people coming back at those prices

I've never been to a McAlister's Deli and I'm probably never going simply because of the number of times their pop-up ad interrupted the article I was trying to read. It filled the whole screen and one time reappeared immediately after I clicked the X. I had not even moved my mouse away from the spot.
I kind of understand; the people working in the deli did not purposefully harass me. But the company paid money for an ad manager that dogged me constantly until I was pissed. That is not a good use of McAlister's advertising budget.

I ordered the Choose 2, Half French Dip sandwich and Broccoli and cheese soup which is the only thing that was good. Called them and spoke with a manager and she told me they only put 1 slice of meat on 1/2 sandwich and 2 slices of meat for a whole AND I was charged $1.50 for the au jus!! I get a better sandwich from Arby's with the au jus included. Won't ever be going back.
