We had a reservation at 5 PM when they just opened. Bartender was the only staff working. Luckily the restaurant was not busy.. Watch the bartender pour wine back into a bottle after she over poured into the glass. Served me a martini with half the amount of gin because she was out of the brand name I asked for she suggested I use some other brand to complete the drink overall would not go back.

The food was good but service was extremely slow for the amount of patrons. The wait staff was ok but not what is expected with the food cost and 20% automatic gratuity for parties of 6 or more.

Great remodel of an old building!!! The bar, wood floors, wood work, just a really cool restaurant, and hotel! The food was good, better than average but not great. The service was lacking, mainly as our waitress was forgetful and not very attentive. We were just in town for the weekend, but if back in Rome I would definitely go back for a drink to enjoy the ambiance, but would probably pass on eating and try one of the other local restaurants.

Had the Massouka Burger. Tender, tasty, and juicy.

Tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend. Is now on my list of favorites. Very well appointed, historic, and classy.

We love this hidden gem. The drinks are great and the food is super good. Last time I got the salmon Caesar salad and some onion rings. I’ve gotten wings before too and all of it is so yummy. Only giving 4 starts instead of 5 because a few times in a row they’ve been out of ingredients to make some very basic bar drinks (ginger beer and mint are two that I recall). So I had to order something I wasn’t really feeling but it was good anyways. Will be back for another date night soon I’m sure!

We had reservations at 530 pm for 6 people. When we got up to the hostess stand the lady said all that was available was bar seating or outside seating. I asked her if I could glance at the outside seating but to hold the 6 open bar seats, she agreed. It took 30 seconds to glance outside. It was too hot. I came back to the Hostess stand to tell the lady we would take the bar seats. She was MIA. A lady behind me in line heard her say earlier that only bar or outside seating was available, so she sent her husband to the bar real quick to grab seats. When the hostess/manager, whomever she was came back, I explained what happened and that we wanted the bar seats she had said we could take earlier and she said well you will just have to wait. Meantime, a nice guy that didn't even work in the restaurant but that worked in the hotel helped set us up at a round table, a hightop made for 4 people. Jordan was his name. We waited 30 mins for a server to even come to our table. Jordan greeted 5 tables, made waters for each of them in the time it took her to come to our table. All she did was take our order. Jordan did everything else, kept our drinks refilled and all. It took almost an hour to get our dinner and even though the food was delicious, we already had a sour taste in our mouths from the experience we had. We had 15 mins to eat our food to make the 7pm show we were attending. A show that had been planned for months. Off Broad should have been better prepared for the crowd they knew would be in the area. If the lady at the hostess stand was the manager, she needs to work on her attitude towards the public. Also, don't give an option on your website for reservations if you won't honor them! Jordan, if you see this, you are phenomenal! You should be the one in charge! Thank you for all of your hard work! I will add that I worked as a server for 7 years in a very busy, upscale restaurant. I know how difficult the industry is, but what we experienced was a combination of poor management, planning and utilization of staff.

We had a reservation and when we got there the manager stated that they didn't save seats for reservations. The nice guy who came in to help (Jordan) was the only saving aspect. The manager was awful. Took forever to get food. Please don't expect to have your reservations honored.

Had a reservation and got sat at the bar on a couch with a coffee table—told it was all that was available. Wife ordered a Moscow Mule-they were out of ginger beer. Wife ordered a decaf coffee—they don't have time to make coffee. We ordered our food: I had a filet, wife had the salmon. Mine came out first, hers about 5 minutes later. They were both room temperature at best. Wife sent hers back to be microwaved, came back same temp. We asked to see the manager, but the manager was “too busy” and could call us tomorrow. $140 to eat a room temperature steak at a coffee table. Hard pass.

Off Broad is a great location for dinner before events at the Forum River Center. The ambience is upscale casual and the menu has good options. The food was good but the service was terrible. We had a 5pm reservation and were seated quickly and received our appetizer quickly. I think the waitress was also a bartender and she forgot to take our order for the main course. We had to find her and ask to put in our order at 5:40pm. Our meals arrived at 6:10pm and we then felt rushed and it didnt have time to order dessert since we had to get to a 7pm show. It appeared they were short staffed for an event at the forum.

Problems with the reservation system had too many people book and we were not able to be seated in a normal area. Staff was great to accommodate the best they could but we were late to our show because of the amount of people they had to serve. Had a 5:30 reservation and received food at 6:40. Food was good but we had to rush to eat.

Off Broad was a great place to grab dinner before going to see the show at Forum River Center. They have a nice menu with something for everyone and a wine list with some good choices.
