My favorite eats are off the beaten path and hidden in little holes in the wall. . This place is a not to be missed experience in Rome! Don’t miss it. The best homemade southern dishes you will ever have. The homemade Biscuits, Jalapeno cornbread, Fried pork chops, and Meatloaf etc…Don’t hesitate to enter and eat- you will feel like you are in your grandmother’s kitchen.

It's a nice restaurant where we chose a meat & two or add ons for extra cost. There was a nice variety to choose from. They prepare your plate in the line, you pay, find a seat, (we say a blessing to Jesus), and enjoy the food. I never saw a sign on if you chose 2 or 3 sides for a certain price or prices listed on a sign at the restaurant. There's no menu. The decor is older but looked very clean, and they had a high rating. The staff were friendly, and any wait would be based on how many people were in line to get food. I'd definently return if I was in the area.

Good country food. Had fried cubed steak. Fried okra. Rice and gravy. Turnips and cornbread. The employees were very nice. You felt like you were eating at grandma’s table.

Parking: Dirt-gravel parking lot behind building.

The food was okay. It just needed some more seasoning for the food. My parents loved it. So if you are older then you should go.

This place is close to my house and I visit it often when I want some good southern veggies. I have never had any of their meats that was not excellent, but the star of the show for me is the Chicken and Dressing. It is like my grandmothers are over there making it, it is always perfect. At key times it can get a little busy and the parking lot can get crazy with some of the older patrons not always watching when they back out of a spot, but when you have to talk about the parking lot to find something bad, you know the place has good food.
