What a professional and tasty experience with Cakes by Darcy! I was in charge of ordering a cake (long distance!) for a post elopement party of 35. The cake was absolutely a FIVE STAR with buttercream and pressed flowers.... layers of cream cheese and Bailey's Irish Creme inbetween. What a combo! The morning of pickup was rainy.... but not to worry as the cake was delivered to my car with the utmost care! Thank you for spoiling our guests of honor and their friends with a beautiful and delicious dessert treat!

I wanted to do a special themed groom’s cake and was thrilled when Darcy said she was up for the challenge. Based on her previous work, it looked like she had the creative experience and I was not disappointed! After a brief chat regarding the concept, she shared a design spec, and we confirmed the plan. What a lovely addition her special cake was to my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding day!! Oh, and did I mention how delicious it was too?? Her flavor options are extensive and received numerous compliments from the guests.

If you're looking for a sign to book Cakes by Darcy, this is it. Darcy made the wedding cake of our dreams, plus an incredible groom's cake and a fresh anniversary cake one year later, which she includes as part of her wedding cake package. I had been counting down the days to that anniversary cake and let me tell you, it was worth the wait.
Our wedding cake had three tiers and a kitchen cake with four amazing flavors: vanilla with blueberry compote, almond butter cake with amaretto cream, lemon cake with blueberry compote, and strawberry with strawberry compote. I originally didn't plan on choosing lemon, but after tasting it, I completely changed my mind. That lemon blueberry combo ended up being the flavor I requested for our anniversary cake and it was just as incredible as I remembered.
The groom's cake was simple and classic. Devil's food chocolate cake with chocolate ganache icing. Rich, decadent, and exactly what we wanted.
Everything tasted amazing, looked beautiful, and held up perfectly through a night of dancing, celebration, and cake-loving guests. Darcy is also just a joy to work with. She's warm, talented, and truly puts so much care into everything she does. I can't recommend her enough. Her cakes are unforgettable, and so is she.

I was referred to Cakes by Darcy because my first choice was too busy. I had reservations after reading reviews. I’m leaving this review because she also ignores emails once you have paid her she does not care. Should have gone to Publix I would have been better off. The initial phone consultation and instructions were well received and the drawings looked like what I described. What I got on the day of wedding was trash and certainly not worth $260.00 for a 1 tier 7” wedding cake and a dozen cupcakes. I would have been glad to pay that price of it tasted remotely good. The cake was supposed to be chocolate with strawberry buttercream filling between layers and iced with vanilla buttercream to look like blue watercolor with a rough edge on top with silver leaf on the edge. The cupcakes were requested to be almond Wedding cake flavor with buttercream frosting and I said just decorate them pretty with lots of buttercream to go with the cake. I can bake and decorate cakes myself but this was my sons wedding and I wanted the day to celebrate. When we arrived the cake looked pretty from across the room until you got close it was a disaster the entire cake was weeping running color into puddles along the bottom edge. The cupcakes looked like trash that a 5 year old could have piped better, nothing special and not even iced to the edge. In a nutshell decor was subpar Publix or myself could have done much better. Now for flavor, the chocolate cake had zero chocolate flavor was just dark brown and very dry, the filling was not as requested strawberry buttercream, instead was some old gelatinous red substance most likely from an old bucket of premade filling didn’t even taste like strawberry. Worst thing is the buttercream frosting clearly had zero butter in it just shortening and powdered sugar- garbage flavor, canned would have been better. Frosting was just disgusting and wet. Don’t second guess the reviews. Cakes by Darcy does not care about you or your event unless you’re looking for something that tastes terrible and evokes a lackluster feel to it. Save your money or set dollars on fire your call. Too many great bakers out there to spend money with Someone that suffers from burnout and really loathes customers.
