The quality of the food is top notch. The facility has a cool vibe to it with the high ceilings, open kitchen, and large bar. Iirc, the wine racks are a throwback to the original FSE. Our waitress Nei (sp?) really knew the menu and made great recommendations on pairings of food. The seating area is rather open and can be noisy. The portions are appropriate for your meal, and there were no leftovers at our table. Prices are on par with other restaurants of this caliber. Plenty of free parking right behind the restaurant. We will be back. 💯
We went to Foundation Social for the first time yesterday and would hands down recommend it! The food was amazing, atmosphere wonderful and our server Nai was simply delightful. 10/10 💛

Went for the first time today and loved it! The cocktails were great and the wine is not the typical selection you see in other places. The Pinot Grigio from Slovenia was very nice. We had the Cesar salad and Octopus as appetizers, both very good. The salad is unique and does not have the typical overbearing creamy dressing. Octopus was fried, never had that before, and came with Chorizo and potatoes. Great combination. The salmon and pork schnitzel had a unique taste, would order again. We definitely come back! If you go, sit at the bar with Britt, she was amazing. We had a really good time!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Everything I mean everything is delicious. Great service. Menu changes with season. Very good Caesar salad. Hanger steak good flavor and presentation. And the sea bass was perfection. Ask for the Old Dogwood if you like a bourbon cocktail. Very very nice experience every time.

2024 update: FSE moved away from east Roswell, which was lacking in upscale alternatives, to downtown Alpharetta apparently in search of an even wealthier clientele. Their online menu pretentiously now has no pricing posted, i.e. don't bother coming if you don't have big bucks to spend. Have no idea how the food is anymore or whether the ownership is even the same as when the restaurant blew my socks off all those years ago. Leaving 2 stars because of past glory.
2015 version: Can't say enough about how awesome the food is here. We live across the road and had been looking forward to this restaurant. It has not disappointed. The owner is also the head chef and dedicated to fresh and local foods. They make their own breads and sausages and other items. Starting with standards the owner is dedicated to innovating and improving on them. So refreshing for the burbs!
Chef Mel changes up his menu regularly and it’s spectacular , we eat there regularly and tonight was no exception, unlike most restaurants in Alpharetta and Roswell that serve pretty much the same fare month after month this guy knows his produce and gives you a pleasant surprise every time we visit.
Highly recommended.

My husband works in Alpharetta and always walks around for lunch. He had seen this restaurant and wanted to try it (it was only open for dinner). We finally had an opportunity after work one Friday. The service was top shelf the entire time. The perfect balance of kind and professional, as well as attentive but not overbearing. Our waiter Justin was very knowledgeable, easy-going and helpful. Every bite of food was exquisite. We had the charcuterie board appetizer, Athletic Haze IPA (non alcoholic) and a glass of Chardonnay. This is a random detail, but the glassware and the plates were tastefully ornate and added to the overall presentation. We chose to sit on the patio, as the evening had cooled off some of the Georgia heat. It was comfortable and quiet. We had the flank steak as our entree. It was perfection. The truffle demi glaze was brilliant. It was a little pricey, but worth it. I will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my experience here! Parking was easy to find. Every dish was amazing! The ravioli was perfectly al dente with a soupy sauce.
Great food. Nice location. Would eat here again. Parking a little tough on weekends

Great outdoor patio area in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. Good menu & service. Will become a regular lunch spot for us.
