Hands down my favorite BBQ place. Their lunch special has been a mainstay meal for these past few months. The customer service has never been anything other than excellent, and I've enjoyed every visit.I'd also like to personally and specifically thank Celia for being an amazingly cheerful and positive person. A bright spot in the drudgery of my week, whatever she's being paid is not enough.

Just picked up ribs from the Smyrna location. It was our first meal from Grand Champion- So good!

Probably the best BBQ on East Cobb Johnson Ferry corridor. Meat and sides are both very good. Pleasant surroundings in the restaurant. Go earlier than later as their hours are limited on weekdays.

I had lunch at Grand Champion BBQ. The baby back ribs, and mac and cheese were great. The greens were also great, but I found that a little went a long way. They would be a good dish to share. I would definitely go back for the ribs!

They were friendly and kind, the brisket and ribs were good. The sides need help! Lots of help! I can’t say I’d recommend as a whole.

The best thing about my first experience is that this place is extremely clean. 100% on cleanliness. My Brisket sandwich was very dry and black ends that were hard to chew. The Brisket and sauce color is a bit darker than I’m used to. There was only a pickle on the sandwich. No lettuce, tomato or onions. No fries.Baked Beans just taste like nutmeg sauce beans. Brunswick Stew looks and taste like Brunswick Soup. Thin with chunks of Pork. It was hearty soup and not stringy Brunswick stew.Really nice management so I hate to say that I didn’t enjoy but we were hungry and thrifting nearby.

Really disappointed with the service and unfriendliness. I decided to dine in and the staff literally looked at me, made eye contact and just turned away. The food was so-so but the unfriendliness made me so uncomfortable I got a to go box and left. No one checked to see if everything was ok with the meal or if I needed anything and I was there for about 30 minutes after I was served. The heavy set lady with the different color hair was dirty in appearance, really dirty and she served me my food and just sat it down, no warmth at all. I will never go back there and I'll make sure I discourage anyone else to. You can't have mediocre food and be unfriendly too.

I have given up. Each time I have ordered pickup, after my meal, I have said, wasn't so good, but ok, I will give them another chance... After about 8 pickup orders over the last 5 years I can say I really have not liked the ribs, chicken, sausage and brisket that I have had there. String beans were pretty good. My homemade Mac n cheese is way better than theirs. Free tip: Never have their Mac n cheese reheated. The Meats I have had have been pretty dry, rarely moist and tender, which is what I hope for, especially with ribs. Thoroughly disappointed. Looking for another place that does it right, I have given this place too many second chances. Note: I am not a tried and true BBQ lover, but if the meats are tender and juicy I can dig it. Seems like the place needs to pay more attention to the quality of their food like they pay attention to the quality of their operations, which actually are run very well in terms of service and speed.

The short rib. If it's there...get it. Worth every penny. Overall, the best true smoked barbecue in Atlanta. The others are good, this is simply...better.

LOVE this place! The brisket nearly melts in your mouth with succulent yumminess! It is the gold standard by which all other brisket should be judged. The staff is amazing! We got a family meal deal which is a great value. We'll be back!

Enjoyable and friendly location, with great pulled pork and baby back ribs. I love this spot over in the Publix shopping center, because the people are great and the food is excellent. I always ask for the Carolina-based Mustard sauce, because they don't put it out there automatically. It really takes the pulled pork to another level. I usually get the plate, and finish it off with some of their excellent Mac'n'Cheese and some collards. A great meal!

Just spent this afternoon at Grand Champion’s new Smyrna location. The Chattahoochee riverside spot shares space with Reformation Brewery, so there’s great local beer to accompany the BBQ from GC that never disappoints. Also, as we are learning, GC offers some tasty twists on BBQ fare—sort of creating small batch things of their own.The menu offers most diehard BBQ offerings as well as some unique-to-GC items, but the Mac and Cheese bowl with smoked sausage is a favorite for me.Try it now, for sure. But when Atlanta warms up, this place will be amazing.
