This place absolutely slaps it’s SO good! The sandwiches are awesome, haven’t gotten one that I didn’t like yet. They come stacked with meat and all the good stuff, and the bread doesn’t take over the sandwich. We’ve also gotten chipotle chicken salad, pickles, cookies etc. you name it and it’s all delicious.

We had the best hot veggie sandwich and the service and vibe was amazing. The owner and workers take very good care with what they serve and highly recommend for anyone to eat there!

I put one star for atmosphere, because [bad service/no service] kind of contributes. I was looking for a good hot italian sandwich (yes i called it a sandwich), so i came here. The sandwich wasn't bad, so i gotta give them that, but it was way overpriced. I spent over $20 for a sandwich and chips, no drink. The sandwich was really just ok. As someone pointed out, i could go to Publix and get basically the same sandwich for half the price. I can also get a half sandwich at Publix if i choose.
TLDR: it's just ok. it's just WAY overpriced for what you get, and i one star any place i will not return to, for various similar reasons. There are better, cheaper alternatives nearby.

Came and got the roast pork and broccoli rabe with au jus to dip. Really good and glad to see a local shop.

This was my first visit. While the restaurant appeared clean and wasn't busy, the customer service was notably lacking. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged until my order was served, despite being the only customer for a period. Subsequent customers were greeted and engaged with promptly, which highlighted the disparity.
Regarding the food, the #99 Philly was quite bland; the meat lacked flavor, and the cheese didn't have the expected 'pull-apart' texture. The chipotle mayo was the only thing you could taste. The fries, despite having seasoning, were similarly tasteless, suggesting they might have been old or freezer-burnt. I should have perhaps acted on my initial impression regarding the service, and left before ordering.

This is the best sandwich shop in Atlanta..Bold claim I know but there are some key factors in my decision.
I’ve had 5 different sandwiches, one for every visit and I haven’t had a bad one yet. In fact I can’t name a favorite because they’ve all been great, I don’t know maybe the meatball.
Every part of the sandwich stands alone even the bread. I’ve only had the classic hero roll and wrap. Both adding to the entire experience.
My main concern is that they are going to franchise, not to be confused with opening a second location even a third but franchising where the end game is the bottom line and where the ingredients tend to be the first to take a hit.
The hero’s I feel are a good value for the price. 14$-18$ per sandwich (I’m not looking at the menu) and 1 sandy will easily feed 2 persons with a normal appetite.
The atmosphere here is super casual. One big community table and counter style seating harkens back to my sandwich shop days of my youth in the north east. Self service drink fridge and deli display cooler make for a great experience.
This is the place I take friends and family when in town. And a favorite of my sons and me when he’s here from college.
Go now.

Hero Boy (Roswell, GA) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
On National Sandwich Day, I just had to stop by Hero Boy for an AMAZING sandwich: the Pastrami Reuben! Every sandwich I’ve tried here has been incredible, but the pastrami truly hits the spot. The pressed panini bread, tender pastrami, and their perfectly cooked, crispy fries paired with a Coke Zero make for a meal you won’t forget!
The ordering process is quick and efficient—just order through the screen, and your sandwich is out in no time. Other must-tries are the Philly cheesesteak and chicken Philly. Highly recommend this spot if you’re a sandwich lover!

Great sammie’s!!! A true “hero” sammy! Meats are fresh and delicious!! Had the cheesesteak and the #3 which is a basic Italian. #5 would be spicy Italian. New go to sub shop!!! A must try, just wish they were open for dinner!!!
