This place smells horrible. Like urine. Its stronger in the front of the restaurant. I felt so nauseous after eating Food was so greasy like overly than normal.

I come in all the time and always tip 20% or over even when service is poor because I am a server myself. This morning all the then employees ignored me and my husband while waiting to be seated. At least 4 employees including the manager saw us waiting and said nothing. Very very very disappointing.
Sometime last month, I was going through one of the hardest moments of my life. I had nowhere to go, no money, nothing to eat, and no support system. Overwhelmed, cold and struggling, I called non‑emergency police. The Roswell officers brought me to this IHOP and even paid for my meal. My server was incredibly sweet, helpful, and attentive. Being allowed to sit quietly, eat, and collect my thoughts changed the entire direction of my day. In that moment I was having some crazy thoughts feeling so alone on my 28th birthday but that simple kindness helped me shift my mindset and reminded me that there is still good in the world. I even found the motivation to do my makeup in the bathroom and ended up having a beautiful birthday because of the compassion I was shown when earlier I was so ready to give up. Everybody I came in contact with that night helped me keep going. You are the reason I am alive. I don't know what I would have done that night had everyone not been so understanding and kind. To the IHOP staff and Roswell PD: you may never know how much your kindness meant to me, and I may not remember your names or faces through the fog of extreme depression, but I will never forget what you did for me. Thank you for helping me feel human again on a day when I truly needed it.
(Note for corporate, I wasn't allowed to linger or loiter. They did everything they were supposed to, I was just moved by their kindness and I want ihop to know how it served as a safe space for me when I was struggling. IHOP will always be sacred to me because of this night. I don't know her name but I know my server was a darker skinned black woman and I really would appreciate if she could be recognized)
