I eat and drink at Mac McGee multiple times a week and have had multiple private events there! Everyone is top-notch and should have reviewed them months ago. However, seeing the most recent review from BushKat, who had his camera light on and lost his mind because one of the coolest employees there told him about it and then writing a scathing review attacking this individual personally is out of bounds. So go to Mac’s and have fun and don’t be like BushKat!
Upstairs for the party goers and down stairs for the chillers, Lisa was friendly and talkative, live musice downstairs was unique but recognizable and not blowing your ear drums out. Great place to go to be able to talk to folks without having to scream lol definitely the more chill spot in Canton Street. Can't wait to go back.
Over all we enjoy Mac McGee's. The atmosphere reminds me of the Temple Bar bars in Dublin. Can't rate the food. Drinks are normally pretty solid. However this saint Patricks day we showed up early(2p.m.-6p.m.) and the bartenders working the front door bar were not in the greatest moods and you could tell they were over the weekend.
