Absolutely, positively the BEST Bakery in the Southeast!! This family has been in the baking business longer than I have been alive!! The best of everything!! This review is from someone that has been around a while. Sad that they had to leave Cheshire Bridge but progress got in the way! Trust this bakery to make the best cakes of anyone!!!!

I am not here to badmouth Rhodes Bakery. They have been in Atlanta for a zillion years and I am sure that they do some things great. What I WILL say is that I would NOT suggest going to this bakery if you have a design in mind for a cake - this is NOT your place for that. I went ahead of time and showed them a photo of a relatively simple design for my son's birthday party and when I went to pick up I was in tears. With the birthday party within hours there was no time to go somewhere to have the cake re-done. Go to Rhodes for their pastry case or ordering a caramel cake - NOT for their design skills.

Rhodes Bakery has the most incredible and scrumptious treats that you could possibly imagine! Many a year ago they made our wedding cake for us and it turned out so perfectly. Me and my wife have come back so many a time for their so delicious cookies and so tasty gingerbread men. And many other delectable food items. And if you have a spouse or partner, you really gain brownie points if you bring home a delicious treat to them. Maybe even it'll even get you out of the doghouse. =) They have been a fixture of Atlanta forever. I can totally understand how they've been in business so long because of their wonderful food. The owners and wonderful staff are always so very amicable and so very hospitable. So very personable and so very wonderful. They are so very passionate about what they do. We will definitely keep going back to Rhodes Bakery again and again and again for their most excellent staff and mouthwatering desserts.
(3.5 Stars) First time trying the place. Did not get the health inspection score this visit. The service was good when I walked in the gentleman greeted me. Was on a cake slice run, they didnt have individual cake slices so I got two cupcakes, one with chocolate frosting and one with buttercream. I saw sticky buns that looked good so I got one of those too. The chocolate frosted cupcake was tasted as to be expected and that's what I pretty much wanted. Nothing extra special but it was good. The buttercream one was pretty bland, and I likely would not purchase it again. The sticky bun, however, was really good. I would definitely buy one of those again from this bakery.

If your looking for fresh and delicious this is the place. The owners are wonderful people and everything is made on premise. I ordered my daughters wedding cake from them and it was absolutely delicious, everyone was raving about it. It was fresh, moist and delicious. There cookies and petite four. A must try.
