Such a cute place, the staff is friendly and sweet but I'm not a huge fan of the food. The Chipotle turkey club was dry, the split pea soup was only okay, the peanut butter and jelly was all peanut butter. I would try it again because the service was so great, maybe my friend and I just ordered poorly.

Went on a cold day and everything was hot and delicious! We got the soup and sandwich meal which comes with soup, sandwich, drinks roll and cookie. The turkey + pimento sandwich was amazing!!! The line is long but it moves fairly quickly. There’s plenty of seating but it seems to fill up so go early!! Will definitely be back to try other things!

Food is good. Wide range of soup offerings. Hearty and tasty. I had pumpkin lentil. Was excellent. Salads are good as well. I had the grilled veggie salad. All root vegetables with balsamic glaze. My friend had a turkey sandwich which was really dry. But overall food is really good. As for service…There were two servers behind the counter. One was delightful. Patient. Helpful. Offered sample tastings with having to request it. Had somewhat of an eclectic hairstyle and head wrap that were original and happy. Everything about her was absolutely in keeping with the soul and vibe of the place. The other girl was your typical can’t be bothered person so common in food service today. Didn’t tell us about combo offerings or loyalty cards when we checked out. Even so, we liked the place and thought we would be happy to return. Toward the end of our meal we realized they offered lunch cards for returning customers. After ten stamps you get $10 off. Nice enough. Since we felt this little place was a good find, we figured we would make it a regular spot. So we asked for a loyalty card each, only to be informed by Miss I’d Rather Be Anywhere Else” that we could not get a second card because we paid for our meals together. Each of us ordered full meals but paid together. We asked her if we had paid separately would that have made a difference. She said yes but no second card for us because we paid together. Obviously, some employees do everything in their power to say yes and be helpful. Others do everything in their power to find a way to say no. And this unfortunate employee is that sort. So rather than each of us enjoying ten more meals there to fill up a card and start over, we probably won’t be back with any frequency. It’s not the silly little card. It’s the irritation of employees like her that work harder at saying no than they do at supporting their employer and customers.

Very nice area, good parking, cozy, homey vibe, very welcoming staff super friendly, and willing to describe and explain the menu to you. However, as a person of color, the soups were bland. I had the absolutely vegetable soup which was warm thank goodness, but I did want the sweet potato lentil soup that my sister got and unfortunately, it was cold and also pretty unseason

Ordered an entree to take home and reheat. Ingredients on menu were steak, potatoes, squash and barbeque sauce. At dinnertime, discovered they replaced the squash with broccoli which I cant eat and don't like anyway. Hey Jenny, that's not ok! You have an obligation to inform customers of such changes. I would not have purchased it had I known.

My husband and I eat lunch at this SJ location every Friday and sometimes Saturdays too. Jamiesha and Dani are extremely thoughtful and kind, and the menu is always delicious. It’s truly a highlight of my week! We 💜 you SJ crew!

I asked a simply asked had anyone turned in my umbrella from my first visit 6 day prior. Since I came for a second time for lunch, I thought I would ask again after a call last Saturday.

The manager named Sarah was loud, defensive of the guy who cleared my table when I mentioned to her that he may have put it up. She argued that he wasn't there on Saturday.

I asked if I could ask the gentleman who cleared my plates from the table that Saturday, March 8 2025. while I was talking to the owner of the variety shop inside Souper during the sidewalk sale..

It's sad when a great business owner gives an opportunity to people trusting that he and/or she won't be the cause of loss in sales, invetory and new employees. 🤔
