Live close by, ordered a to go order. $45 for some wings, two pieces of pizza and a veggie wrap. Fine. Pick it up, get home and discover no pizza. I go back to get it because my hubby was annoyed and I wanted to spare the staff. Drive back and tell the girl at the hostess stand we were missing part of our to go. She asks the name, I tell her, she walks over and grabs the box and hands it to me. No apology, no offer to remake the now, 40 minute old pizza. Take it home and reheat the pizza. Go to eat the veggie wrap and it is soggy and wet. Clearly overdressed to start, but add onto it our 45 minute double trip (mostly long due to the terrible parking), and it was inedible. Maybe it’s fun and yummy in person, but to-go was a joke. I could have stood in the yard and burned $45 in my fire pit. #stillhungry

I had a truly disappointing experience at The Standard today and will not be returning. I brought my dog to lunch on the patio because the restaurant advertises itself as dog friendly. Loki is well-behaved in these settings, but like many dogs, he can be reactive if another dog comes up to him uninvited - which is exactly why leashes exist in public spaces.

Before I even got my food, two large dogs were wandering freely around the patio off leash. I politely said to the man nearby (who turned out to be the owner), “Hey, my dog can be reactive — could you please put your dogs on a leash?” He completely dismissed me, saying, “They’re fine,” and ignored my request.

I spent the rest of my meal trying to keep my dog tucked under the table to minimize the chance of a reaction if the off-leash dogs approached. The anxiety of waiting for that to happen pretty much ruined lunch. When I asked again, instead of showing any courtesy or concern, the owner came over and condescendingly asked, “Why bring your dog here if he gets triggered?”

I explained clearly that a dog-friendly restaurant typically means dogs are leashed, not roaming freely. My dog is fine around other dogs on leashes. His response? That it’s “private property,” so his dogs can be off leash as though that somehow excuses ignoring basic courtesy or safety for customers.

Eventually, he put his dogs in the car and took them home, but the damage was done. Based on other reviews, this isn’t an isolated incident — someone else mentioned a similar situation with a little girl who was afraid of his dogs and the owner refused to leash his dogs and the family left.

The servers were lovely and kind, but the owner was dismissive, rude, and showed zero concern for customers or their comfort. A truly dog-friendly restaurant respects all patrons — including those with dogs that need predictable, safe environments.

If you’re looking for a place that actually values customer experience, this is not it.

Resently: Burnt pies for the second time, retured pie for them to cook another one while we waited only to find when we got it home that the same smelly burnt toppings where used on an differant underdone pie cust.
1st time: Employees fighting in front of us.
Pizza wasn't as good as usual.
Service was ok.

Dallas is a lunatic who can’t handle his emotions. Left a bad review because of something he said to me and he tried to punch me over it. Instead he missed and rammed into my girlfriend’s mom. Called the cops and told them I was intoxicated after that. 5’10 195 and two beers in. Okay little guy. One day I hope somebody does the same thing to your daughters.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it’s always been one of our favorite spots. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient – which is especially impressive considering how busy it often gets!

The owner has always gone above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, and we’ve seen firsthand how much he cares about the community that gathers here. This is a well-known Buffalo Bills bar, and part of the charm is the energy and excitement on game day. It’s important for new guests to know that the TVs here are dedicated to showing Bills games – that’s what makes it such a great place for fans to connect and cheer together.

If you’re looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and a place where you’ll be treated like family, this is it. We’re grateful to have such a gem in the area and will continue to come back again and again!

owner lost his mind because we asked him to change the TV and nearly shoved my mom. absolute psycho. will never be giving money to this place again. then flooded yelp with fake positive reviews to drown out ours. This guy should never be in restaurant business.

We’ve been to standard many times and have enjoyed it!
We got there today a few minutes after they opened for lunch. There were two big dogs walking around the patio without leashes. As we looked for a table, a server came over. I asked if the dogs could be on leashes because my daughters are terrified of dogs. She said no, that they belong to the owner and don’t have leashes and “always” just wander all over the restaurant and patio. I said, oh ok, we’ll need to go to another restaurant then because my daughters are just really scared of dogs.
She said ok and watched us leave.
It was really bizarre. There was no effort to find a way for us to stay safely or accommodate paying guests over the dogs wandering around.
Obviously a lot of people love dogs, but it was a really off-putting experience. I doubt we’ll come to Standard again.
