Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill

My salad was amazingly fresh and delicious! However, my medium well steak was burnt. It even tasted like it was burned ?. My garlic mashed potatoes were too salty as if it was seasoned with garlic salt rather than garlic powder or fresh garlic. I was very disappointed with my steak being that this was my first time coming to this restaurant. Was very impressed with their system when you give them your number they can confirm your name!

So disappointed, use to come here a lot when lived in Alpharetta, live an hour away now, so thought this would be a treat. Worse ninety dollars spent. Steak was extremely salty, told server, all I got was ,"I'll tell the kitchen". I was so hungry, hadn't eaten all day so I wiped it off with napkin and ate less than half, dog got a treat, but rinsed first, Au gratin potatoes almost looked and tasted a lot like lasagna with so much cheese and garlic Rolls are still great, but filet is better at a Texas Roadhouse or Outback. You could server was scoping us out before ordering, I feel like I disappointed him the minute I ordered iced tea and not cocktail. I should've sent it back, my bad as they say.

Great food and employees. We are never rushed to leave. Their rolls are fantastic.

My husband loves the coffee steak. I was not as impressed by the crabcake/steak combo. The corn was overly peppered. I would order only the potatoes and bread and be happy.
It's very dimly lit, for intimacy

This restaurant doesn’t disappoint. I enjoyed my food immensely and it’s worth every penny. From the hot honey- tasting yeast rolls to the fall off the bone ribs, I have to say, I will return. The service was on point.

Honestly wasn’t expecting such a fabulous meal from a chain but the Coffee Steak was incredible and the salad. They also give huge portions for the salad and dessert. Dessert was the only thing that was ehh okay. But our waitress was amazing. Atmosphere could use some more art or vibes.

It’s a shame this place relies so heavily on only seasoning their food with salt and adding copious amounts of cheese. The steaks were lacking for the price. Much rather get a steak at Rena’s or Seed. Also the steak rolls are NOT good man. They’re basically Steakums in a fried spring roll. Their “famous” steak and biscuits are INSANELY salty—and I eat salt. It was a bit wild to taste so much salt on it.

Wow... In an effort to not sound old, this place is not what it used to be, and I'm disappointed. I'm starting off with the drink.. I ordered a Martini. It was Wrong!! The rolls were delicious as always. My salad was wrong as well my guest ordered a salad with no eggs or bacon however I wanted eggs, bacon the whole shabang they made our salads the same( I was missing my eggs and bacon in the salad)The salad is different the lettuce was roughly chopped so big I needed my knife to cut the lettuce to mouth size pieces almost like bagged lettuce, croutons were greasy( I like butter but it was too much) .I'm used to the service being better as well... the plates piled up on the end of the table, very unlike The old Stoney River. The Entrée. I tried something different this time, the chicken with sweet potatoes and cream spinach, everything was so dry, and was reminisce Carabbas poorly done. Just was not a good meal this time.

Great experience. I have never had a bad meal here. My wife got the pecan crusted trout, which was amazing. I got the lemon butter snapper, which was tasty as well. The portion sizes a good too. Smoked gouda mac & cheese is awesome. Mashed potatoes are old school style and creamy. The rolls they bring out before dinner taste so good. You cant go wrong here. It is a great restaurant and I will be back.

Great food. Reason for 4 stars:
1) Had to send my Medium Steak Back to have it cooked again.
2) Our reservation said that we do not wish to be seated by children or large crowds making noise. They sat us in an uncrowded part of the restaurant and then seated a party of 10nin the same empty restaurant right next to us after we got our drinks. #brilliant
