We were eating and drinking our way down Canton Street. I made a reservation for 8:45 and walked all the way down there because I was parked at the other end of Canton. We were told they were closing at 9. Why have an 8:45 reservation if you are closing!?
Uncle Jack's is always fun, and comfortable and everyone is treated like family. Drinks are great and food variety has something for everyone. And the chocolate cake is awesomeness!
We had such a great experience for our Sunday brunch. Every bit of food was so flavorful. I hate going places & there no flavor. We asked to let the chef know how much we enjoyed our meal & he even came out to thank us. You can tell how passionate he is about his cooking. You can taste it, too!
Don't dine here--this is a place for cocktails only. Last night was our first and last time dining at Uncle Jack's on Canton. We were excited for a date night out, but were very let down with the experience. Unfortunately, the 2 steaks we ordered had differing issues and the side dish was burnt. The filet was ordered to medium well, but arrived medium rare. The other steak was cooked well but was so salted that my husband's lips burned. Our server was tied up with another table for 10 minutes and the 3 others in the area didn't bother checking on us as we sat looking around a mostly empty restaurant waiting for help. Once the server came back, we explained and he understood, saying he had argued with the chef about it. About 45 minutes later, the steaks came back. During that time we were offered a complimentary beverage, which my husband explained we'd prefer to have money taken off the bill. ONLY once the food hit the table the second time did the chef come to check and who we believe was the GM. That food was delightful. When the bill came, we were charged the full amount minus two drinks (a non-alcoholic cocktail and glass of wine). I've never been so disappointed by lack of hospitality and leadership from management. While we waited for the second steaks, we overheard a bartender mention he likes to make a drink without the Paloma mix, but juice is more expensive. So we wonder if this was only about money rather than doing the right thing by your customers.
Hanging bacon appetizer is special. Barman, John, hospitable and smoothe. Burger quite good.

Was at uncle jacks for a private event. Food was great and the service was friendly. Look forward to returning and sampling their menu options.

One of the main meals was not correct. The server was not quick to offer to switch it out, instead tried to convince him how good the one he got is. Due to time, and we had 2 kids with us, he ate it after removing what he doesn't like. Said it was only ok, would have preferred what he ordered (and all of us heard the correct item). Lastly, we were given $40 in gift cards to come back. Would have been better customer service to take $400 off the bill.
We had a very nice meal for our 20th wedding anniversary. Our waitress brought us an extra appetizer and finished off the meal with a brownie with ice cream! The food was great, we had steak and lobster. Pricey but worth it. Thank you for making our day extra special!
Every single item on the menu is overpriced. The cocktails were fair. The burgers were overcooked. There were ants on the table and a roach on the wall. Food was mediocre at best. Even the choc layer cake was average. Paid $500 for 6 people. Also, the service was super slow. Last, they included 20% gratuity on the bill for 6 people.
Do not recommend.

I stopped in for a drink and very dense and lukewarm popover, while waiting for friends. The chive maple butter was delicious though. When paying, I was charged an undisclosed "adminstration fee" of 2.9%. The testy bartender said it's what the management chose to do when running a card, even a debit card. I've never heard a restaurant doing that and not letting the patron know. The shady business practice means we won't be back.

Worth the price for sure, but if you like a nice quiet dinner free of valet parking check em out M-Th and you'll just about own it.

I find that Uncle Jack's rarely disappoints.
We've been here a few times, and the ribeye is absolutely delicious. Recommend the porcini rub. We were a little disappointed that the chicken sandwich is no longer on the menu, neither is the tiramisu. If you don't get the steak, it's best to get the burger. It's better than the steak sandwich. But, they even presented us with some free cheese popovers, which were fresh, baked and very good as well.
Highly recommend.
Parking: Usually the parking had been valet, but on this particular night it was just open and free.

So many are looking for a great place for kids on Canton St. and we had a blast at Uncle Jack's! We had about 11 kids; They setup games for the kids and even allowed me to bring a few of my own. Xavier was kind and thorough. It was hot as hot can be but the customer service was excellent and they went above and beyond!
Kid-friendliness: The kids loved it and they felt safe to play.

I don't really understand all of the four and five star reviews here. My wife and I dined here on a Friday evening. There was no crowd, so we were seated right next to the bar.
Our service was fine, if unexceptional. TBH, I was a little taken back by the prices. After all, the owner's description of the restaurant says it's "moderately priced." For whom? Certainly not Roswell families.
I ordered the BBQ Chicken and my wife, the Salmon. My chicken was tasty if covered a bit too much in barbecue sauce. The tiny dollop of mashed potatoes I received were runny and tasteless. And my broccoli literally had no seasoning on it. And two stalks of asparagus? Why bother?
My wife's salmon was good and the greens had a good flavor. But, all in all, it wasn't something I wouldn't expect to get at Applebee's. Two entrees and a glass of wine ran us a hundred dollars. Plus valet. I won't be coming back.
