we have been long time fans of Vas this was our first visit back in over a year. We had the grilled octopus as an appetizer which has remained consistent and excellent. However, we had the shrimp dish as an entrée and we were a little disappointed on value overall for what we got and how expensive it was. Overall, we felt was very overpriced. May give it a try again at some point in the future
The restaurant was freezing, we had a reservation for three people but the sat us at a table for six. We asked to be move to a different table because that one was not only too large but felt like a iceberg. They accommodated but only after a hassle. They would not sit us at a nice table on the side, said it was reserved. They sat is in the middle of the room. Meanwhile that empty table remained empty the entire night. Food was good though as was our waiters.
Love this restaurant - been to a number of times. The saganaki is awesome - I order it every time & it's the closest I've found to getting it in Greece. They had a special of lamb “cigars” so we ordered those & they were also very good. What was disappointing on this visit was the fish - we ordered the whole fish filet & it was just “ok” - I've had it before & LOVED it on previous visit(s) but not sure if it was the type of fish or the lack...
