I wish I could leave a good review about Vin 25 because it is a Roswell staple but I can not.

They changed our 6:45 reservation to 7:15 via EMAIL. It was sheer luck that I checked my email as we were walking out the door. The email arrived at 5:45. So, quite short notice. Then when we arrived the restaurant was near empty. So, I asked why they changed our reservation and they said it just happens.

They must have been low on staff because I ordered a glass of wine and my husband ordered a Manhattan and it took forever for our drinks to arrive. Our server did apologize for the wait.

For dinner I ordered the salmon with risotto, which is the most expensive item on the menu. The salmon was seared crispy on one side and otherwise was just a plain ol' filet of salmon. The risotto was crunchy rice in a sauce that was equally bland. My husband had the duck confit and he said it was uninspiring.

Lastly, I put on my reservation that I was coming to Vin 25 for my 50th birthday. They never acknowledged it. They just handed us the check when we said we didn't want coffee. As we were leaving, I asked if they did anything for birthdays and they said they did.

I was really looking forward to this special dinner at Vin 25 for my birthday. It really put a damper on it. We ended up going to Dairy Queen for Blizzards to celebrate my 50th as our experience at Vin 25 was so bad.

We’ve been coming here since the very early days but I’ve never done a review. The wine list and service has always been great. The food menu has matured and the food is outstanding. We made a visit tonight and it didn’t disappoint. I forgot our servers name but he was top notch and the food was excellent. The pimento cheese fritters and cauliflower and brussel sprouts are always superb.

Have not eaten here...was planning to, untill...reservations site on line demanded $25 reservation cancelation fee....per person...if cancelled within 48 hours of reservation time!!! Last time I checked they are not located in New York City and do not have Michelin star rating...even then pretty heavy handed reservation policy.

Great food - 3 of us shared apps/small plates and they were very easy to share, food came out quick and was delicious (would recommend the crab toast, pimento cheese fritters and shaved Brussel salad) . There is free onsite parking. We sat inside and the atmosphere was nice but bet it’s wonderful on the porch in the fall.

We visited VN25 in Roswell as a group of four adults and three children. We specifically wanted to sit outside, and at the time, there were multiple empty tables both inside and outside. Despite this, we were kept waiting. When we pointed to a table that had just been vacated, they initially said “sure,” but a few minutes later came back and told us there were no available tables for us.

No alternatives were offered. Although there were clearly open tables, we were simply told there was no space — with no explanation. We were not seated at all.

We felt excluded, ignored, and treated with an alarming lack of respect. It was deeply upsetting, especially with our children present. The way we were turned away made us feel like families with kids were not welcome at all. If you have children, this place will not even allow you to step in. This kind of hostility toward families and children was extremely disappointing.

The staff was rude, indifferent, and unprofessional. We will never return and strongly discourage others from visiting.

Their customer service is awful with a hint of racism! Food is overpriced and not worth the low quality.

Vin 25 in Roswell is a charming spot that’s just right for a cozy evening work sesh. We enjoyed the heated patio, which made for a comfortable setting even as the evening got cooler. The pimento cheese balls and the cheese board delicious and beautifully arranged.

The service was excellent. Vin 25 has a welcoming ambiance that’s perfect for a casual night out or even a productive work meeting. Adorable and charming spot surrounding you with mature trees and lush greenery.

In truth, I was not going to leave this review as it is a principle of mine to leave bad experiences in the past and draw light to those that were good. However, the more I thought of the events that transpired the greater the conviction to write this review became.

I will start by admitting we did make the mistake of arriving a bit early before they opened at 5 PM. We were exhausted because I flew in to visit my mother that morning and we subsequently spent the day shopping and hiking. As you can imagine we were tired and hungry so we rushed to our reservation excited to follow up a great day with dinner at an establishment which boasted phenomenal reviews. In our haste it slipped our minds that the restaurant was closed for about another 20 minutes, so when we opened the door and was promptly rushed out with the owner having a not too welcoming attitude it was understandable and we agreed to wait at a table outside until opening. Unfortunately, she still seemed flustered and unwelcoming as 5 PM rolled around, arriving at our table to bring the menus as well as noting the hostess/sever (her daughter) was running late as usual. She added the quip to not hire family and we thought to ourselves surely it couldn’t be that bad. We therefore assumed that perhaps they were just having an off day and decided this wouldn’t determine the outcome of the rest of our meal.

A few more minutes passed and the hostess arrived to take our order with a less than pleasing attitude, to say she was inattentive would be too high praise. She hurriedly took our order with a rushed and sour disposition. Then brought the food out shortly after with a similar attitude. My mother immediately noticed her salmon was undercooked but decided to try it anyways because we second guessed what our eyes were seeing. After a few unpalatable bites and slicing into it we came to the realization the salmon was completely raw in the center (as pictured).

We tried to get someone’s attention but the hostess, bartender, and basically most other staff were just chatting by the bar immersed in their own conversation. I did not want to get up with dinnerware on the table as another issue was that the chairs and tables for the outdoor seating are quite uncomfortable due to them being on uneven cobblestone and it placed us in an awkward situation where every time we got up it caused the table and chairs to shake. So, I called the restaurant and after many rings a young man in the group by the bar answered. I explained the predicament and asked if our sever could come a moment, he did not even let me finish fully before without saying a word I could see him drop the phone from his ear and mention in exasperation that I was calling. The server hesitated to come out with a sigh of frustration herself. The overall attitude of the staff was off putting and unprofessional. None of them should be employed there. My mother caught on earlier than I did because I was intent on enjoying our time there. I kept making up excuses until that point as we were clearly being treated abhorrently for reasons we could not fathom since we were polite even in the face of their indifference and said very little for the time we were there.

The hostess/server did come out eventually and we conveyed the issue after which she promptly took the dish back to the kitchen. After having a brief conversation my mother and I decided we’d just pay the bill and dine elsewhere. I went inside to ask for the check and the same man (perhaps the bartender) that answered the phone said “she is coming in” with an air of animosity. I explained I was coming in to pay our check and leave. This is when the owner came out to try and explain that they were inquiring with the kitchen as to what transpired and if we wanted to leave she would not allow us to pay. We went back and forth insisting on paying but she refused to take any payment and we left.

It would have been a predictable outcome had we just read the few one sta
