I had the privilege of dining here on my way home on a road trip to Massachusetts from Florida and I was blown away by the food! The portions were not only large but extremely delicious! You can tell that love went into every plate! I ordered a crab cake to start. Packed full of lump crab (no fillers there!) I then ordered the shrimp and grits with squash casserole and cabbage! Absolutely amazing and I could barely finish it all! Every entree comes with your choice of bread and I got all three which was jalapeño cornbread, pumpkin bread and a roll. Very delicious!
My bartender was Tyler (the owner’s son) and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon talking to him about the restaurant and how it started! He brought me out the “chocolate stuff” and it was simply amazing! You have to order that as your dessert!
I will be back when I head back to Florida and will be sending anyone that goes to St Simon’s Island to this wonderful place! ❤️❤️

Probably not so much a hidden gem since it’s located at St. Simon’s Island but it has that feel. Every one in our family loved their selection, ranging from pot roast to crab cake sandwich to pumpkin bread. Bring your appetite as the servings are large.

Great food here. Especially their shrimp and grits which are some of the best I’ve had. Their crab cakes are really good too. I also love the bread basket you get before your meal. The atmosphere is very homey and down to earth. Love it!

First time at this restaurant. I had turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was delicious and a huge portion. Brought half of it home. Hubby had shrimp and grits, red beans and rice. Said it was good but nothing to write home about. Service was great. Would probably try again.

had one of the greatest meals in my life here. service was great, food was quickly served, and it all was seasoned nicely and tasted wonderful. highly recommend the blackened tuna steaks, dirty rice, and roasted tomatoes.

Great southern hospitality and great food. If you leave hungry, it’s your fault! Aaron was our waiter and did a great job making us feel welcome. He was very attentive! All 4 of us had different meals and everyone thought it was fantastic. This was our 2nd time here while visiting. We will definitely be back! Thanks!!! Update, we went back again because we walked out of 3 restaurants on Jekyll due to long wait and one was way too loud. Live band was playing, if you call it that! We were seated in the same place and Aaron was our waiter again. He remembered us and took excellent care of us. All of us were highly impressed with his service and the food was absolutely perfect. If your in this area, this is a must visit place. Thanks for a great dinner and very friendly service!
