I've been going here for decades, and its just a good solid beach BBQ stand. Everything's really good and the location is outstanding.

We had a great experience. The atmosphere is laid back, the pulled pork and smoked chicken both get 5 stars. The staff were attentive and engaging. You would not regret dining here! There are many dining options on the island but if you if want a great BBQ, this is your best option.

Simple food, nice patio seating. A little pricier than I would like for what it is, but even having said that, I loved my turkey & bacon sandwich on the toasted/grilled sourdough.

Food was ok. But took my kids and their spouses which was 6 adults went to the window to order and they charged a 20% service charge. If I wasn’t paying for the full group would not have happened. Self service, go to the counter order and pick up your food and we paid a 24.00 service charge. Beware and break up your ticket and we will never go back. Basically got robbed. Happy to tip for full service but not pay a service charge for self service.

We visit here every other day, once a month when we are down visiting at sea island! We can’t get enough of the super bird turkey sandwich! Great service & owner was so kind to our crying baby

The turkey is not the same as it once was. My husband and I, before he passed away earlier this year, would come and get the super bird sandwich, it was so good! Yum!
My husband would turn over in his grave if he knew the turkey didn’t taste the same. I still love Beachcombers! I will see you again when I come back into town in a few months.

Great atmosphere, excellent meat, and wonderful sides! The prices aren't astronomical, and the meat, unlike some places I've eaten at, isn't dryer than dry. Definitely recommend to those who love BBQ!

Music and food was great. Loved the ceiling. Sweet tea ran out and took a while to get refilled.

While visiting the island as a guest of one of the residents (October 27, 2024)
We went to Beachcomber’s BBQ to pick up a picnic for lunch to eat as a group.
While waiting for my food, with my group,
the supposed “owner of Beachcomber’s” grabbed my personal beach bag so that I could not move while I was exiting the restaurant.
And then his to cohorts asked me if I was uncomfortable about him grabbing my beach bag, then he proceeded to HUG me without my permission!!
And the another cohort said “it’s ok he is the owner”
I was wondering where his wife was and how she would feel…would she be uncomfortable?
I’d also like to ask him are you uncomfortable?
Am I supposed to feel honored by the fact that the owner was grabbing my bag and hugging me?
Clearly he and his cohorts had been watching me at the table while we were waiting for our food.
I became the object of their joke.
Did he feel too confident to act this way because of these cohorts?
Needless to say I felt Unwelcomed! And shall not return!

We came all the way from Chicago and have samples many of the food options here. The Beachcomber is Easily some of the best food and staff on the island. The guys behind the counter (especially the one with the ninja turtle tattoo) are so friendly and personable.
The food blows my mind. Everything on the menu is absolutely incredible. Skip the bougie seafood joints and get yourself some of this barbecue!
