Beachcomber BBQ & Grill

Great atmosphere, excellent meat, and wonderful sides! The prices aren't astronomical, and the meat, unlike some places I've eaten at, isn't dryer than dry. Definitely recommend to those who love BBQ!

Music and food was great. Loved the ceiling. Sweet tea ran out and took a while to get refilled.

While visiting the island as a guest of one of the residents (October 27, 2024)
We went to Beachcomber’s BBQ to pick up a picnic for lunch to eat as a group.
While waiting for my food, with my group,
the supposed “owner of Beachcomber’s” grabbed my personal beach bag so that I could not move while I was exiting the restaurant.
And then his to cohorts asked me if I was uncomfortable about him grabbing my beach bag, then he proceeded to HUG me without my permission!!
And the another cohort said “it’s ok he is the owner”
I was wondering where his wife was and how she would feel…would she be uncomfortable?
I’d also like to ask him are you uncomfortable?
Am I supposed to feel honored by the fact that the owner was grabbing my bag and hugging me?
Clearly he and his cohorts had been watching me at the table while we were waiting for our food.
I became the object of their joke.
Did he feel too confident to act this way because of these cohorts?
Needless to say I felt Unwelcomed! And shall not return!

We came all the way from Chicago and have samples many of the food options here. The Beachcomber is Easily some of the best food and staff on the island. The guys behind the counter (especially the one with the ninja turtle tattoo) are so friendly and personable.
The food blows my mind. Everything on the menu is absolutely incredible. Skip the bougie seafood joints and get yourself some of this barbecue!

Great beach relaxed atmosphere, food/bbq and one of the best hard to find bourbon selections. Stayed a while eating and listening to Sunday evening band. Go!

Disappointing. No trace of smoke on the turkey. Sweet sauce, no hot BBQ sauce. Seems like most sides are sourced, not produced on premise. Would not return.

We stopped in for lunch today and the food was so good and the staff was so friendly. We were here on vacation and Beachcomber was an absolute favorite on the island. Definitely the nicest staff out of all the places we’ve been to also. The guy with a ninja turtle tattoo especially.

Been here forever. Best Q on St Simons. Nice little bar. The locals like it. Me too. Once a local, no longer.

Had lunch with my aunt here today. Everything was great! The burgers are full of flavor & juice. The BBQ sauce is the perfect combo of sweet & smoky. Very reasonably priced. The inside is so cute! Every staff member we interacted with was nice as well! I live locally, so this will definitely be added to my list of favorite places to eat.
