I enjoyed the experience of dinning with you guys. The shrimp and grits was amazing alone with the the service..my wife and I loved to visit this place whenever we visited the island. Keep up the good work guys.

Unfortunately, The Blackwater Grille has closed their doors and are no longer in business. I had visited occasionally, always sad to see a business close.

Great food and a semi-fancy restaurant feel! We started off with the quail and boudin balls appetizer! The quail were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and the boudin balls were just the right amount of spicy and tasty. Then for the main course I had the duck marinated in an orange glaze! The duck was topped with a poached egg laid over a rice mixture. Some of the other members of my party ordered the shrimp and grits and raved about them. The "grit" part of the shrimp and grits was actually a crispy grit cake. It is really rich so it's hard to eat it all. We finished off the night with the deliciously moist chocolate bundt cake with bread pudding. The only criticism I have is that the wine glasses were not clean and they were quite smudgy. Other than that the experience and dinner was delicious!

This place was fantastic. The steak melted in your mouth. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious! Our waitress was very attentive. We definitely plan on coming back.

Beautiful establishment, the creole sauce with blackened shrimp and Mac'n Cheese should be illegal it's so good! Can I cheat a 6th star somehow? Jordan provided excellent service and recommendations for fun things to do in the area. Highly recommend!

Ligniapppe used to be crackers and cheese dip that was quite good. Replaced with puffed chips and hummus. Cajun pasta has less seafood and beef added, (ie; Cajuns don’t put beef in seafood dishes). Waite staff friendly and efficient. Still good, and enjoyable if your expectations are not of previous owners fare. All tables vacant at 7:15 pm last night, (used to be difficult to get a table even with a one day reservation.

So bad. The rice in my Gumbo - and there was a lot of rice - was crunchy. I guess it'd been sitting all day...? And the sausage in the gumbo tasted cheap. And the 'Bayou Shrimp'...gross. no flavor. I know that was frozen breaded shrimp. Those were NOT local shrimp.

The food was pretty good. Small portions. This was dinner when I went. No bread! Said they were out. But the next table had some. Service was slow.

The Blackwater Grill has amazing food. Hands down (If you have a picky eater I definitely recommend their Chicken and Dumplings). However, one of the waiters underplayed the severity of one of my friend's peanut allergies (they cook with peanut oil) by telling her to just stick herself with her epinephrine pin and eat the peanut oil cooked food anyway. 3 Stars for service.

I first heard about this place from Guy Fieri and wanted to try it. I took my wife to celebrate our anniversary because she wanted sea food. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. My only complaint was that the dish I ordered was "the spiciest dish we offer". While it did have a burn... I've eaten bell peppers with more burn. That nitpick aside, the place is great and the food is delicious.

Seafood and the feeling here is super good. Definitely worth a return visit. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.
