Disclaimer, we visited the night before Hurricane Debby was expected to hit the island. Food was good, portions were plentiful. The rice is delicious as was the salsa. Our server wasn’t terribly attentive and seemed a little irritated by simple requests (two drinks were wrong, asked for more salsa). We were out and about looking for a place to have lunch. We came across Bubba Garcia’s! I must say, the food was spot on delicious, the atmosphere is very laid back and friendly staff. Our server was very kind and courteous amd kept our drink refills full. I had the Burrito Gringo with chicken, they didn’t stuff the burrito with unnecessary amounts of rice. Great place for Mexican. Being one of those cilantro gene types, I love it here because the food is not super heavy with cilantro. Great taste and great service. One note to diners is that the beans are not the standard brown mush refried. Here the beans are black beans seasoned and cooked amazingly well.
