Dorothy's Cocktail & Oyster Bar

Dorothy's Oyster Bar is a gem with chic, stylish decor that sets the perfect atmosphere for date night. We ordered several small plates to share, and each one was bursting with bold, creative flavors. The chef clearly has a love for spice, which we enjoyed—but if you're sensitive to heat, be sure to ask before you order. Overall, a vibrant and flavorful experience! The cocktails and wine list are great as well!

The bar was a little backed up and it took 30 mins to receive our first cocktail. The food was amazing. I enjoyed everything we tried.

Dorothy‘s was spectacular... As always. The shrimp ceviche is a favorite, and we discovered a new favorite, the bread pudding. Excellent service. We'll see you again soon!

Food and service here is always superb. Not your typical dinner options and all the small plates are good for sharing.

Waitress Chelsea was great!!! Food was fabulous and prompt. Great vibe and top restaurant on Sea Island.

By far the best meal on SSI! My Wife and I were here on our Honeymoon and they were amazing to us. We had a scheduling issue and were able to push us back 30 minutes with no problem, the food was a great mix of different cuisines & cultures and was so different than anywhere else we’ve eaten here! Our server Chelsea was so great and took the best care of us! ps - get the bread pudding. ◡̈

We enjoyed our experience at this wonderful restaurant and will be back! An eclectic drink menu that was fun to read over and our drinks did not disappoint. Our food was delicious and our server was awesome. Five stars all around.

Etta was our server. She is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We were very impressed by her manner. This was one of our most memorable meals ever - the tuna tartare and salmon belly plates from the raw bar are outstanding- so good that we ordered the same order again! Yes, twice at the same meal. The oysters were very fresh. We chose the pork Katsu for our main dish - it was delicious. At the end of the night Chef Daniel, came over to say hello. He was so engaging and humble and embracing of different cuisines in all that he shared that it was a pleasure to speak with him. Thank you for a super experience. We live in Atlanta but would love to return to Dorothy's one day soon.

The atmosphere is unique to St Simons. More sophisticated. My dining companion and I both had the smash burger. Very tasty but mine could have used more of the sauce. I ordered the Vieux Carre cocktail and thought it was very good. The dessert not so much. The extra large chocolate chip cookie was very dry (close to burned). Neither of us finished our cookies. This was my second visit to Dorothy's so I know other items on the menu can be more satisfactory.

This was our second time to Dorothy's for a girls trip weekend and it never disappoints. I think the owner was there that night and a bachelorette group and it was SO MUCH FUN. They turned up the music and one point and everyone was dancing around. One of my favorite nights ever. Can't forget the spicy noodles that my friends and I talk about the whole year leading up to the trip!

First timers at this restaurant. Was a little disappointed that the bar did not carry our usual liquor preferences but we did find a great Rosé wine. We requested a 4 topper table but they couldn't accommodate our request, however they allowed us to sit outside on their patio and it was a beautiful night. Service started out a little slow, but then they dedicated a server who was great. The Chef even came out to apologize for the delay in service, but after that everything was wonderful! Would definitely try it again.
