Dulce Dough Donuts & Bakery

Not sure why everyone raves about the cinnamon rolls, the icing is heavy on the cream cheese flavour and the dough isnt anything special. The star pastry is the Homer donut. That doughnut is so airy and layered, and that strawberry glaze is perfect.
Biscuits aren't up to par. Their flour is obviously not of high quality and neither is the butter or lard which they use wayyy too much of it, it was coating my mouth.

The donut has the air of a feather and quite literally melts in your mouth. It's delicious, but the flavor lacked but the texture was incredible. I wish the frosting had more flavor lowkey.
The strawberry biscuit was delicious but a little underwhelming at times. Def warm it up and add some butter to it!

No donuts what the heck !

What is all the hype with these donuts? Don’t Georgians know what a good donut is? Come up to Jersey, and we’ll show you a delicious donut. The chocolate ones were bitter. We didn’t like these donuts at all. We ended up throwing them out. They are very expensive too. Six donuts cost us $23+ change. This place wasn’t worth the trip.

This is truly a great donut shop, but the last time I visited it was about 11:30am on a Sunday. As I pulled up to turn into the parking lot, everyone is leaving almost in a panic. Sign on door said “sold out”! Doors locked.? This place closes at 2pm. They sell other items than donuts. Message received! Won’t be back!

First off, I Love this place.

But today was awful.

Please, please, please prioritize your customers lined up at the door rather than filling online orders. I Arrived at 8 a.m. the line already out the door. I waited nearly 30-45 minutes. Not once did a single donut get restocked.

However, online orders were still being filled expeditiously. Basically making my options once I reach the front, zero. I was told I could wait, then told that if it’s not in the window then I can’t have it. Time and time again I wait and wait 30 mins to an hour just to watch fresh donuts being taken off the rack into a box for later.

Today brought the Karen out of me.

The waiting experience is truly awful and slow. No wonder so many people online order. I understand online order is secured money, it’s easy and convenient but it should not trump the people physically waiting at your location.

But I digress, the food is fantastic, the workers work hard, I’m familiar with the owners and they do great work.

But if I show up at opening time and I can’t get 4 chocolate donuts and 4 vanilla brioches within the 45 minutes I wait in line. Thats a problem. I know exactly where you can find 4 vanilla brioches and 4 chocolate donuts, in the 50 pre filled boxes sitting on the counter.

For a first time customer and showing up to find out they're out of biscuits and buns and can't make a breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy...honestly I almost walked out. Ordered sides instead and over all I'm just disappointed. Sunday at 11am to be out of your main needs for breakfast and not saying you're cooking more isn't the way you stay in business. Witnessed others just walk out after hearing you didn't have these things too. Most likely never be back here again.

We arrived late in the afternoon when all that was left to choose from were cinnamon donuts, scones and a single roll. I tried them all and can say that they were the best I have ever had.

Popular location. Line moved quickly. Parking very limited. Absolutely worth the effort.

The vanilla iced cinnamon roll was good, I prefer the soft type to the crusty shell plus at 10 there were only two left and not as good as they were probably. They warmed it up for us which helped. The people were nice.

You guys!!!! Cutest bakery I have ever been to! And don't get me started with the merch!
It was out first time visiting, we were told it's a popular spot abd there is always a wait. However, I am a donut fan (real donuts, don't try me with DD or KK). The line went quickly and since it was our first visit we had a few questions. The staff was so friendly abd worked very quickly and efficiently! We ordered several donuts and breakfast sandwiches!
Everything tasted amazing! Prices were a little on the high end, like their pull over sweater $60.
I couldn't stop looking around, everything was SO cute! I'm wondering how I can get them to open one close to where I live ?

Dulce Dough is such a gem! The hubs and I picked up a variety of doughnuts our first morning here and took them back to share with our teenagers. Everyone loved them! I am a cinnamon fanatic and the cinnamon doughnut is the most delicious doughnut I have ever had. The other faves were the Rasberry Berliner and the Blueberry Crumble.

We loved it so much, it was our last stop before we left the island. We got more doughnuts to take with us and also grabbed several savory breakfast items that were just as incredible as the doughnuts. The cathead biscuit with bacon and egg was awesome and we also had a savory pastry that had sausage, cream cheese and jalepeno in a pretzel dough that was just about the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever had!

If you’re on SSI, do not skip Dulce Dough!
