It was a disaster of a dinner. We were seated on the porch on a cold & rainy night, seniors on these wobbly bar stools around a high table, spotty service, food was just OK but the punch in the gut was their app to pay via your phone double charged our tip - once under Tip and the other under Service. Yikes! We will never go back here.

I ordered my meal and ask for utensils, none on the table. Hostess told me happy to give you plastic utensils, ran out of silverware. Table beside us was empty with utensils sitting on table.

Really cool atmosphere and good service. The food was wildly mid and overpriced. We got the shrimp and vegetable bowls—the rice was hard and dry and everything was covered in sauce.

Food was awesome until the rest of our family arrived. When they arrived they were refused service, we tried to make order them to go food because they wouldn't let them order, but they refused that as well. I am very disappointed because it was amazing food.

Good food, decent service, homey atmosphere. Come early though unless you're happy to wait! Looked like the waiting areas are quite nice though, overlooking the marshes.
Runner didn't know which dishes were which, but server sorted it out.

Had dinner with my family on a Thursday night. It was very busy but we were quickly seated. We started out with the fried deviled eggs, not a table favorite, texture was a bit odd but flavor was decent. Shrimp and Grits, Shrimp Alfredo, Seafood platter, and Brunswick Stew were ordered. All dishes were very good and portions were generous, we had leftovers. Atmosphere is open, outside seating area looked very nice, we were inside. Outside area looked over the marsh. Inside views are restricted but floorplan is open. Service was good. Overall a location we will visit again when we are on the island.

Amazing food, everything from starters to mains. The wait is to be expected, an hour to get in and no reservations. So, come get your name on the list, go back to the crib and wait for a text. It's worth it.
Bar service should be better. The kitchen is on point, orders are fast and furious, but the bar is lacking. They just need more staff. The bar tenders are sufficient to cover two deep for each seat at the bar, but the rest of the restaurant is ALSO ordering drinks. Add a station and a bar tender on Friday and Saturday.
Other than that, it is delicious. Must try if you're on the island.

Awesome lunch stop. The blackened shrimp was outstanding. The redfish special had my wife wishing we lived closer.

My Sister and I, my dearest Pal and her sister, were recommended to Fiddler's during our visit here at St Simon's. The service was great! The Food was really good. Enjoyed the artichoke dip, something new added to their menu. ? The place had a bar and for me, I have always noticed restaurants with a bar typically don't serve great food but Fiddler's does!
When we come back to St Simon's we will be a return customer! Are pic outside waiting for a table. That's another thing our wait time was short! ?
Dietary restrictions: They added something new Artichoke dip! Great!!!!

I apologize again for pictures of half eaten food! I frequently forget that I want to do a review when we are hungry. Nice seafood restaurant that worked well for us! Food was fresh and generally very good (with one exception, noted later). I added some notes later as suggestions. Our group of 5 adults and 2 young children were seated quickly at 6ish on a Saturday night but there was a wait when we left. It is undoubtedly busier during the Summer season but was perfect the second week after Labor Day. Prices were a little high, but in the range found at most vacation destinations. Parking was free but tight around the restaurant.
We had:
- Two shrimp baskets with fries, proclaimed damn good by my son, and merely good by another adult.
- Fried oyster basket with slaw and two hush puppies.
- Fiddler bowl with scallops
- Fiddler bowl with blackened shrimp
Notes: The slaw was simple but a nice balance of sweet and tang. The hush puppies were the biggest disappointment, primarily because they were extremely dry! Oysters were good, but were a little small and could benefit from a little more seasoning. The “lightly blackened” shrimp could be even less blackened because it overwhelmed the scallops. Ironically they offer a small amount of wasabi on the side of the soy reduction which I loved, and I used just a tiny bit to tweak the flavor over the pepper. The two Fiddler bowls came with coconut rice, my daughter and I preferred more coconut taste to our rice, but we can understand if the chef wants to make it appeal to a broader group of diners. Mac n cheese and cheesy bread sides were reasonable.
Parking: Parking near the restaurant is tight and limited.

Excellent restaurant. Had the blackened shrimp and coconut rice. Wow. Absolutely loved it. Probably some of the best shrimp I've ever had. Would definitely recommend for good local seafood. Service was good. The atmosphere is nice. Long wait time but that shrimp was worth it.
