The Frederica House has been one of our favorite restaurants in St. Simons for decades! The quality of food and service has been exceptional and thankfully has maintained its high standards throughout the years.
We love the fried shrimp platter, house salad and the cheese grits not to mention the award winning peanut butter pie! We highly recommend this restaurant which we feel is reasonably priced as well.

Had the Filet mignon with cheese grits, Hush Puppies was good.Please don’t let this Review stop you from going, at least trying it. I hear it’s been there for 35 years. I would say it’s worth going for the experience once.

This restaurant is a quiet place that has absolutely delicious food. I ordered surf and turf and which they were able to accommodate instead of crab legs I was able to get scallops in which I got more than three, which was outstanding. Highly recommended if you are in St. Simons Island and you are looking for seafood . Space is limited on seating though.

My husband and I moved here on a Sunday night in 1983. The Frederica House was one of the few restaurants open. We had a terrific experience: the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and ambiance was cozy; we were hooked from that time on. John, Tom, and the waiters are all extraordinary. I amproud to say that it’s still our favorite restaurant! Congratulations to the owners, and the staff. I must say this: we still consider it the best restaurant of all time.
