“What a wonderful treat dining in The Lodge at Sea Island Oak Room was for my wife and I. We stopped in on a slow post-Thanksgiving weekday evening and were treated to a wonderful delicious dinner. Our server Cericka was excellent. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered two Prosecco's. We enjoyed a delicious mini biscuits with bacon butter appetizer. My wife ordered a wonderful 6oz filet with Boursin whipped potatoes, roasted autumn veggies, and scallion steak sauce. I ordered the blackened Redfish with crab fried rice, green gumbo, and pickled Okra. Both entrees were served hot and were delicious. Bon Appetit“

“This is a beautiful resort unlike anything I have ever experienced before. My wife was attending a medical conference at the resort and her hospital paid for the stay, otherwise I could not have afforded the experience. The rooms are really like personal cottages with every possible amenity you can imagine. Queen Elizabeth, several US Presidents and other dignitaries have stayed at the resort. I’m a former history teacher and the history of the island and resort made this trip amazing for me. We were able to witness sea turtles laying eggs and that was a special experience as well. If you can afford the stay it’s an amazing place to visit. I’m thankful I was able to experience this uniquely special place.“
