Wonderful service, and nice atmosphere. We loved the Grilled Salmon entree and the Georgia Shrimp and Grits entree, both were delicious. Thank you!
We dine here approximately once a month. The menu could use some refreshing or more daily specials would make for more interesting dining. Drinks are always on point. These days, the experience doesn't really live up to the price point. Still a reliable “go to.”
Dinner was delicious. I had crab cake with out the bread crumbs. It was really good. Would like for you to add meat loaf & more dinners without fish and shell fish. The menu needs more choices for those who are allergic to fish. Our dinner was good. The hamburgers and fries are yummy. Thx!!
We live out of town and have been coming to Saint Simon for 10 years. We always make this a go to restaurant for dinner. Excellent in all ways.
My experience tonight was very disappointing frankly. I have been to Halyards several times and have always been very pleased. We ordered bread with our cocktails which arrived 1 HOUR later-Our waiter was non attentive for most of the meal which arrived at least 30' after ordering- the bisque was thin, salty, with no pieces of crab and salmon mediocre -manager passed our table several times without asking how we were( and we would have been forthcoming I assure you)- manager at the front when we left without acknowledging we even came- not to Halyard's standards at all Or what we have come to expect —leading me to question has there been a change in management? Terrible experience overall not to mention paying a premium price for it!
The food was excellent. The service was very slow, but they did make it up to us by giving us our dessert free of charge, which was nice. We love the food one of the best restaurants on Saint Simons Island.
We arrived a couple of minutes early for 5:00 reservation, and were greeted immediately by name. Ambiance was nice, appetizers were delicious, and entrees were fabulous. After dinner decaf and cocktails were the proverbial icing on the cake. Thank you Halyards
Great spot for a date night or a large get together. Shrimp and grits were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Service was better than average, we sat at a high top in the bar and it appeared our server had to walk across the restaurant to wait on other tables. It made service slow, but I don't blame her. The crab bisque was done just right and not too rich, like many places. Reservations were spot-on for seating time. Overall excellent for a good night out.
The food at Halyards is always fabulous. However, this time I ordered the fresh fish which was delicious, but I didn't like the highly herbed rice and vegetables underneath it
I can always count on Halyards to be great. Food, service and atmosphere is perfect. Anytime I have out of town guests it's the first place I take them ... never disappoints ! Thank you.

It has been a number of years since we last ate at Halyards, so we had great expectations based on prior experience, and they did not disappoint. Accommodated a 7 person group to celebrate our niece's 19th birthday. Food was impeccable and service was top-notch.
Katie & Kurt waited on us. Wonderfully professional, pleasant, knowledgeable & attentive. Great food, as usual. This is why we keep coming back.
Had some Shrimp and Grits from the festival and it was probably some of the worst I’ve ever tasted. I had such high hopes based on the description on the sign. For $16 I expected double than what was in the sampler but that also was not the case. The shrimp were a good size but lacked ANY flavor, and the grits were the worst thing I’ve tasted. They were watered down and literally had none of the things they stated they were supposed to in them. Think watery grit soup without salt even. We also had the brisket sandwich which wasn’t as terrible as the shrimp and grits but that was the entire reason we went to the festival. Very disappointed.

Friday, 10/24/25, excellent service and meals thanks to the top service from the staff. A particular thank you to Katherine D for her engaging personality and hard work.
First time but definitely not the last time I have had fish ice cream cones. Unique creativity is appreciated.
