The Reuben sandwich was decent. The pasta and potato salad are homemade and good, but the portion is small. They wouldn’t give me the homemade slaw on the side because they were running low even though it’s an extra charge.
We have been going to the island for many years and have never stopped at HDA. What a mistake! My wife and I just wanted a simple meal at a good price. We did not even look at the hours but rolled up at 2:00 pm, their closing time. The ladies were so kind and did not say a word that they were closing. Cute spot, I ordered the jumbo dog and got my pup some doggie bites. We went for a picnic at the park nearby and both loved our food. The staff working were so incredibly kind. Well done.
