I ordered the soup of the day and crab fried rice. The food was extremely salty and uneatable.

What a wonderful treat dining in The Lodge at Sea Island Oak Room was for my wife and I. We stopped in on a slow post-Thanksgiving weekday evening and were treated to a wonderful delicious dinner. Our server Cericka was excellent. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered two Prosecco's. We enjoyed a delicious mini biscuits with bacon butter appetizer. My wife ordered a wonderful 6oz filet with Boursin whipped potatoes, roasted autumn veggies, and scallion steak sauce. I ordered the blackened Redfish with crab fried rice, green gumbo, and pickled Okra. Both entrees were served hot and were delicious. Bon Appetit

Food was pretty good but the menu is extremely limited. The service was very slow, but overall it was a good atmosphere and good food.

We were really looking forward to a nice dinner at this highly rated restaurant. Imagine our surprise when we drove up only to be told that the restaurant is solely for members of the resort. Would have been nice to know this beforehand. Nothing wrong with a members only venue, but it should be advertised as such.
Great service and burger here with stunning views.

Was refused entry as we weren’t members. Our reservation was accepted and still refused entry. Don’t go here!!!!
What a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary! This was our second trip to Sea Island, our first being last February when we stayed at the Cloisters. Wonderful accommodations in a magnificant building. On that stay we played golf on each of their 3 fabulous championship courses. Hence, the reason for our return trip 5 months later. On this trip we decided to spend three days at the Lodge, located right next to two of the three golf courses and adjacent to St. Simons Sound. The grounds were beautiful and the service exceptional. Our room overlooked the golf course and was spacious, beautifully decorated and included special touches to make us feel comfortable and pampered. The staff was very friendly and all seemed to know we were celebrating our 39th anniversary. In fact, one evening when we returned to the room there was a bottle of wine and a plate with 7- huge chocolate covered strawberries. Boy did my wife love that! What a nice touch to a beautiful evening. We had our anniversary dinner in their renowned steak house (Colt & Alison) and enjoyed a perfect meal with superb top shelf service. And - a surprised anniversary dessert! Remember to wear a jacket. I forgot mine and was given one to wear, in my exact size. The Lodge has a beautiful open seating area which resembles an old English manor. Each evening we sat outside and were entertained by their bagpiper who performs at sunset. Naturally, we got to play the courses again and as expected, they were in fantastic shape. Each course was pristine, with manicured greens, white fluffy sand and a green carpet fairway. Our stay was wonderful and I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay in a Five-star award offering world-class accommodations and golf on three beautiful Championship courses. Until next time … Thank you, Sea Island Walt Karpowski
We’ve never been to St Simons so we were really delighted with Sea Islands Inn. The inn was really clean and quiet. There are great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Looking forward to another visit.

The Lodge is simply perfect. The staff are so welcoming and seem excited for guests to be there. I was provided a complimentary upgrade to room 15, I highly recommend this king room as it faces the putting greens and the water, with an evening bagpipe serenade right below your window. There is a wonderful piano player in the lobby in the evenings, and a beautifully prepared coffee bar in the mornings. Room service was well prepared and expediently delivered. Note if you have kids or aren't into golf there are more activities at the Cloister, but the Lodge can't be beat for true quiet luxury and relaxation.
Zelda is fantastic
Two day client event at the Lodge. Perfect venue for ~35 person meeting, dinner, golf. Sea Island handles meetings very professionally and everything was first rate. Beautiful location and great golf experience.
We ate here one night (and every morning and a few lunches) during our one week stay at Sea Island Lodge. The food is very good. The restaurant was crowded every night which I am sure is due to the fact that a few of the Sea Island resort restaurants were closed for renovating. We were seated at a table near the exterior door and it made dinner quite windy. Even the golfer guys next to us were complaining about people shutting the door rather than holding it open while deciding if they were coming or going or not. The manager gave us our drinks on the house which was nice.....and while the dinner was blustery due to the weather outside....the food was very good!! Had the filet, pretzel, nachos and Bailey's cheesecake. Filet was cooked perfectly.....boursin whipped potatoes were very good, but the portion size with the filet was pretty small......I could've eaten a lot more!! Would definitely eat here again.....breakfast omelettes or buffet were good although breakfast is very pricey. Lunch burgers, and homemade soups were very good....also a little pricey......
Coming to The Lodge at Sea Island as been a tradition since 2005. Everything about staying at the Lodge is great experience. Seaside and Plantation are two great golf courses and are always in good shape. The golf shop is very well stocked with plenty of things to purchase. There are so many things to do at Sea Island resort you need to carefully plan your days. Children are welcome and the have plenty of activities for them. The staff at The Lodge are incredibly well trained to make you feel at home by calling you by your name.
