If I could inject the Maple Bacon French toast into my veins every morning I would! Great staff, super friendly people, quaint dining room, and just such a good breakfast spot. Come here every time I’m on the island and you should too!

The waiter suggested the special, a crab, bacon, cheddar omelet and it was delicious. It came with grits. The service was fast and everyone was very hospitable. Perfect for what I was hoping fir.

The Local is probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had! My husband got the Coastal Delight and it was amazing too! ??

I loved this cafe! I ordered the local omelet and it was the best omelet I’ve ever had. My husband is a southern biscuit and gravy type guy so he wasn’t as impressed. The gravy wasn’t your typical southern grandma gravy. He described it as “instagram food.” He did enjoy his sausage biscuit. The atmosphere inside is wonderful! Had some cool interior design.

We have visited this cafe every visit to St Simons and love the food, ambiance and the talented staff. Wanted to share our most recent experience on 10/1/24. My husband and I live in Asheville and due to Hurricane Helene, we left the area . We stopped in St Simons while headed to Florida. While waiting for our room to be ready we stopped in for breakfast and were greeted by Cory, one of the servers. He asked how we were doing and we shared we have just driven in from Asheville where there had been no power or water since Friday. We looked and felt pretty rough . We chatted for a minute or two then he came back to the table with waters and two Mimosa’s . It was the best Mimosa I’ve ever had! His kindness and thoughtfulness was so appreciated. While we were dining another couple that had overheard us talking stopped by our table to wish us well and say how sorry they were for everything going on in Western North Carolina and surrounding areas. Once we were done eating I asked Cory for the check and he advised us that the couple we had spoken to had paid our bill. To the couple from St Simons Island that we met on Tuesday, 10/1/24, your thoughtfulness and generosity truly touched our hearts. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
And to the staff and kitchen crew at this fine establishment, keep doing what you’re doing!

I opened the door for the two of us, an elderly couple, to enter so we could get our names on the wait list. We were yelled at immediately to, "SHUT THE DOOR" We were both still trying to get inside and I said we just want to get our name on the list, was yelled at again, "IF YOU COME INSIDE AND SHUT THE DOOR SOMEONE WILL GET YOU ON THE LIST". We did give our names, walked back outside and felt totally abused!! We didn't wait to be called. We refuse to patronize any establishment that is so rude to senior citizens. We left and went to Three Little Birds, Fly In Fly Out and had an amazing meal with extremely friendly, polite, and attentive staff. We ABSOLUTELY recommend you skip Palmers and go to Three Little Birds!!
What an awesome little Cafe! We ordered the Coastal Delight and the Hooch omelets and - wow! They were both well seasoned and flavorful in their own way. The Hooch was more subtle than the Coastal Delight, but each was a star in its own rite! And the grits were excellent! Don't miss this very popular gem!
