Surcheros - St. Simons Island, GA

Normally great... But I open my burrito bowl (to go) when home. Its about 2 spoons worth of food... Less than my child's meal. What gives sucheros?

Asked for guacamole. Was given a table spoon amount. This level of greed is what turns customers off.

Terrible service. Not sure how a place can stay open that is run like this. Went to the drive thru they said its for online orders only. Found that a bit strange. They said they would love to serve me inside. So I went inside. Proceeded to wait 5 mins while 2 grown men made one burrito. Didn’t acknowledge me or anything. Both just kept working away on a one man job. Needless to say I walked out. When fast food isn’t fast that is not good. Place is a joke. Would not recommend.

The food was very good. We enjoyed the bowls! The available salsa was at best average compared to other Surcheros. The tomatillo was watery. The service was quick and responsive the actual check out was just ok. Not so sure about the whole tip thing. I suppose that is everywhere now. I feel bad if for the workers if I don't tip, yet I really feel it's the owners job to pay the workers a living wage not the patrons. The atmosphere was a 3 star because the ceiling tiles were already missing and stained for some reason. Sad for a brand new store. I'll try it again some time to see if is improved.

Tried ordering on the app and accidentally selected redeem instead of adding it to my order. Now I must wait AN ENTIRE HOUR before being able to use a different code.

Edit: Even after waiting an hour still wouldn't let me redeem in store nor on app. Sad.

Completely wrong order. Zero flavor.

The food was so good!!! We were on vacation in St. Simon's Island when we first tried it. The food is soooo tasty. It's like Moe's, but fresher. I always get steak nachos. The flavor of the steak is a perfect blend. They give you chips and MX cheese dip standard, no need to pay extra. They have a citusy orange flavored beverage with turmeric in it that is amazing. Total recommend. Wish they had more than one in FL.

Love these guys but today I was given the wrong burrito the third time in as many visits. Not sure how this happened. I told them that wasn’t my order but they assured me it was. $15 down the tubes. Pains me to say but I don’t think I’ll go back.

I want to really like this place, because I like the Surcheros in Brunswick, but the St Simon’s location is very skimpy with filling the burritos. We have tried several times since they opened but every time the burritos are more tortilla than filling. I know you get to pick your toppings, but you would have add every option to get a full burrito and I add a lot. Very disappointing it does not compare to the Brunswick location or the chipotle. I said something to the staff, but got the impression this is how they were trained. Just not fully satisfied.
