The Rooftop at Ocean Lodge

Our server was very kind. But, they were out of several types of drinks. They got our bill wrong 3 times. Just wasn’t worth the headache.

The food was incredible i have the ribeye that was cooked to perfection! Chef Matt’s southern blend of flavors really hits the spot. Will be returning!

Sharenna Mobley, the restaurant manager, who also served as our server provided the best service. Very professional, personality was excellent. Chef Matt was on point with everything we had ordered. Food tasted amazing, and cooked to perfection.

Chef Matt did an amazing job the food was outstanding. Amazing appetizers entrees and desserts. A group of 10 women on a retreat had the best time. Our server was the manager Sherenna. She was amazing from the start. Personality, the best service ever. She was awesome. The live music , beautiful atmosphere, and service made the best experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The food and service were excellent! I had the Grits & Greens With Blackened Catfish. It was REALLY good! The ocean view was spectacular. Sharenna Mobley, the RestaurantManager, serviced us. Great service! The live music was great too. The chef even came out to take a picture with our group!

Me and my husband just did our 10 year vow renewal!!
We got married at ocean lodge 10 years ago and we had a celebration over Labor Day weekend!
Everyone was so amazing and let us do what we needed for our evening!
They were so sweet and so fun!
I will think about this night till the next 10 year when we do it again:)

Had a great experience at the Rooftop!! All the drinks were top notch and the staff was all super friendly and welcoming. We loved everything we had, and we will definitely be back!!

Bartender/Manager insisted they were wings. They were not. Very RUDE woman/manager she said. We are locals and won’t be back✌️

They did it AGAIN!!! But this time was extra special... it felt like the staff rolled out the red carpet just for me!

The buter candle bread - PHENOMENAL!
The mixed drink - SUPERB!
And the steak? Cooked to PERFECTION!

This is my new favorite place. PERIOD!

Oh My GOODNESS! Everything about this place is AMAZING!

The rooftop views are AMAZING!
The service is AMAZING!
The staff are AMAZING!
The drinks are AMAZING!

And the food? You REALLY wanna know about the food??? It is THE BEST FOOD on the islands! HANDS DOWN!

There were good and not so good parts of our dining experience-

Let's start with the good- the waitress who I'm not sure ever gave us her name was nice and accomidating- at first however after receiving our food she did not check on us and we waited quite some time to ask for dessert and check-

The food-
We ordered the charcuterie board for an appetizer. It was good and had a good amount of variety on it-
I had the catfish and got mashed potatoes and broccoli instead of what was listed- delicious except for the broccoli - wasn't couldn't long enough-
My husband had the ribeye dinner- steak was one of the best we've had - I don't normally like steak let alone cooked medium but I tried it and it was awesome!

We ordered the peach shortcake dessert- it was ok- the main problem was we waited over 30 minutes to get it and when asked what was taking so long we were told by the hostess they had just sat a large table and that our dessert would be out soon- we then proceeded to wait another 10-15 mins for the dessert - and for a fine dining restaurant this dessert fell a little short of our expectations-
Overall, the food was good however, there are definitely room for improvement. My biggest issue was with the timeliness of the service also to be noted, which may be important to some they do not offer military discount/
I would eat there again, however a biscuit with peaches and ice cream should not take 45 minutes to come out regardless of how busy a establishment is-

We ate dinner at a two top watching the ocean with a nice steady breeze. It was high 80’s low 90’s but in the shade with a constant ocean breeze made the temperature feel comfortable.

The bartender Emily was amazing. Great drinks and very friendly. Our server at dinner ms Ansley was very friendly and knowledgeable not only about the menu but also things to do in the area. Both of these amazing ladies had us feeling like family by the time we were leaving. We had mahi blackened at dinner and shrimp “n” grits for Sunday brunch. Both dishes were amazing.

We had a group of 9 girls on a Saturday… they had some phenomenal music guest playing that were so kind. Our food was incredible and all of the service was top notch. It does take a minute for all the food to come out but we had the best time and food at this restaurant. Thank you guys so much for our amazing experience.

We recently hosted an engagement dinner here for my son and his soon-to-be wife, and it could not have been more perfect. Emily helped us arrange a reservation for 30 people and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right—from the table setup to the food accommodations (our family doesn’t eat pork, and she made sure everything was tailored to that).

The view from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking, and the ambiance was unmatched. There was even great music that added to the already magical atmosphere. Everyone raved about the food—seriously, it was amazing!

Thank you to Emily and the entire team for making this such a special evening for our family. When I return to Saint Simons Island, this will always be my first stop. Highly recommend!
