It would've been nice to eat here, however when we called ahead to make reservations, we were told it wasn't necessary. Cool, no indication of anything wrong. We were planning to celebrate our engagement with a nice, relaxing dinner to end the vacation. Come dinner time, everything is closed, no workers are around. The restaurant had a notice posted on the door that the restaurant was closed for renovations. Why didn't they tell us that on the phone? Super frustrating as we planned our entire day around this dinner at 8pm, and most other restaurants on the island are closing at 10 (let alone nice restaurants as we dressed up). Luckily, we found Delaney Bistro which was exactly what we were hoping to find! They totally saved our night.

Wow, what an amazing experience! My parents and I went to check out happy hour at the Rooftop at Ocean Lodge and we were absolutely blown away!The views are incredible. You can see the beach from the rooftop, which itself is gorgeous- string lights and beautiful furniture all over the spacious balcony.The service was fantastic as well, we were cared for by Amy and Deonte, who both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and provided a most delightful dining experience. Deonte mixed up a delicious Lemon Drop Martini that I will definitely be ordering again, thank you Deonte!We ordered the sampler plate, which was a lot of food, and perfect for the three of us. Everything came out hot and was outstanding!Thank you Amy and Deonte for a lovely evening! We will definitely be back!

A little IYKYK place in a luxury hotel. The GM, Jamie, was super friendly and kind. The chef, Zach, is young and talented. Our server, Hannah, was attentive without being smothering.We ordered fried green tomatoes and conch balls for appetizers. All I can say is "EXCELLENT"!The mains were salmon and tuna steak. Also both excellently executed and presented.Don't come if you're in a rush. That's not the vibe here. But come if you want views, food, and comfort

A truly disappointing experience. As someone who grew up in and around the service industry I get that it’s hard to please everyone and accidents happen. The service was terrible. Wasn’t busy, took over an hour to get our food. Instead of admitting that they forgot to put in our food, they lied to us told up it would be out momentarily and it took another 45 minutes. Offered no apology, just excuses. I got up and left while my husband waited and I got rude gestures from the server.

This is not a restaurant; it doesn’t have the staff required to attend to guests. The kitchen is under staffed and they are not equipped to attend to multiple guests. I appreciate that they comped our dinner, but we only selected this restaurant because it was highly ranked by Trip Advisor, so either don’t listen to Trip Advisor or don’t run the risk to go to the restaurant.

We made reservations at The Rooftop for dinner & we were excited to try! Upon arrival, our table had to be pulled together and a large pile of linens had to be moved. Only 2 other tables with guests were there. Not exactly what I would call a reservation. We then didn’t get menus for 5 minutes. 10 min later (15 minutes after our arrival) someone came to ask us for our drink order. She was wearing a tshirt with a silly saying and leggings (not quite the appropriate uniform for the setting). Another 5 minutes later, we walked inside to check on our drinks and that waitress was sitting at the bar & our drink orders were even started. It was SO odd! Restaurant staff moved in slow motion with zero care for patrons. So we cancelled our drink orders and left. Trust the other reviews. Don’t waste your time! The only good thing about this place is the view.

We were deceived by the "rooftop" setup online. Seems to be poor management, understaffed, not professional. The food took a long time to come out and was not worth the wait.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The service was the worst. The bartender was horrible, rude, aggressive and her drinks were absolutely disgusting. It took 2 hours to get our food and it was subpar… to top it off, after we said we don’t like the drinks the manager had the AUDACITY to offer a round of complementary drinks. It wasn’t even busy, there was maybe 2 tables. Stay far away from this place. There are better restaurants I am sure. The most off putting was the rude, and aggressive bartender. A horrible place.

I made reservations with someone named Kim 2 weeks before our arrival. Only to get there and find out they were closed that day. Rotten way to treat 9 paying customers. Had a great meal at Crab Trap.

Went there for 4th of July. They had hired a couple of girls to waitress and combination bar tend. The girls were telling several guests that they were not trained and just thrown out on the floor. They ended up walking out without telling management. The manager comes back to find several really unhappy guests and has no idea that they girls left. This manager was just hired as well. She proceeded to panic after seeing that several guests were behind the bar serving drinks to other guests. Apparently the restaurant and attached hotel had new owners as well that did not seem to care that guests were behind the bar serving drinks. We did not ending up getting any food either as everything was just utter chaos. The only thing that I can say good about the place was that it had very nice views.

Stay Away until all issues are fixed. The assistant manager has been made aware of this review. The restaurant accepted our reservation for 12 on the 4th of July to celebrate a milestone birthday.We arrived and the table was ready for our group to have a great evening that started 7:45 pm. Water was provided and after the reminder of needing a drink menu our order was taken. Waiting on drinks we finally learned that the two new bartenders they hired quit and walked out the door on their 1st night. Staff made us aware and we accommodated and changed our drinks and ordered 5 bottles of wine. This should be easy for them to provide. Not at all - members of our party had to help. We had to collect the wine from the bar and carry it out to the table along with glasses and open our own bottles to pour. We are a friendly group and always like to help when things go wrong last minute. However, this should have been our message to leave.Enjoying our first glass of wine. We decided it was time to order food. No menu to be found or provided by staff. We request the menus and wait. No menu arrives. We must collect on our own. My wonderful brother takes our order and provides it to the waitress. Once again we knew we should have left.The fireworks from this location was wonderful. You could see so many different areas that had shows this evening by moving around the patio.Our evening progresses and finally at 10:15 the chicken parm for five people arrive at the table. This is the only food that arrives at our table. Reminder we have 12. We know you should sit and wait for other meals to come out to eat, however nothing arrives. The chicken parm eaters start their meal we learn it is too spicy and cold and the pasta was a combination of spegetti and linguine.Halfway through the Chicken Parm salads arrive. I myself ordered the Caesar along with a Ribeye. Only three salads were ordered. Still leaving over half our guest waiting for food. Finally, after some time steaks arrive, seafood pasta, pulled pork on potato and we dig in. And then we realize My niece is still waiting for her chicken wings.My steak arrived cold, mashed potatoes were cold and broccoli was frozen cooked to cold.Wings arrive to the table. They are hot and delicious. I suggest you order the wings if you do go but stay awake from everything else.Finishing our plates of food. The waitress shows up and says here's the fries you ordered 45 minutes later.We finish and wait for our bill. I asked for the manager to visit our table. Watched our waitress run around to find a woman to visit us and hear our complaints and that's all she did was listen.We paid our bill tipped our waitress and reminded them of this Google will be written. I suggest to the management team you get your house in order. This was above the and beyond poor service. Shut your doors and learn how to run a business. You have an excellent location but with poor management and staff you will never succeed.
