Another one bites the dust. I’ll admit: it’s been a year or so since I went to a Jinya location last, and they’ve certainly changed their vegetarian ramen bowls. They used to have one veggie broth that wasn’t heat-spicy. Sadly, that is no longer the case: they’ve fallen into the “vegetarian food needs to have heat to be tasty” trap that so many restaurants have found. So it’s off my list. The other half of my party loved their ramen, though, finding it flavorful and satisfying—and without an overwhelming amount of heat.

The food was decent but could definitely be better. Some dishes had good flavor, but others were a bit bland or overcooked. The portion sizes were okay, and the presentation was nice, but nothing really stood out. Service was friendly, though the wait time was longer than expected. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just not great — there’s room for improvement, especially with seasoning and consistency.

Hit JINYA Ramen Bar (Sandy Springs) and everything landed. Takoyaki was crisp outside, creamy inside; gyoza well-seared and juicy. We tried two ramen (names escape me)—one rich and the other lighter—both with springy noodles and balanced toppings. Quick service, lively vibe, fair prices. Strong 4.5/5; would return.

Very calm and collected atmosphere. The service could be better in terms of being attentive to the table.

I used to love this place, but now the drink menu had more to offer than the food menu with options that just didn't make sense. For example: I ordered tempura brussel sprouts, but they arrived with no sauce, so I asked the waitress for some. She proceeded to state that they don't have tempura sauce (even though there are two tempura items on the menu), but that I can use any of the three sauces provided on the table. Please, note that the three sauces on each table are gyoza sauce, which oddly enough they don't even serve gyoza, and two different hot sauces. This was an on going trend throughout the visit. Sad to say we won't be returning as the food itself has become mediocre at best.

Placed an order for pickup. When I arrived, I waited about 15 minutes to be greeted. A nice lady finally came and assisted me and handed me my food. Went home and the chicken was very undercooked after I’ve already eaten it. Called the next day (today 10/1) and spoke with Tommy, the manager. He advised that he would refund me $5 for the chicken. In my opinion that is the bare minimum. I advised that I would be satisfied had he went above and beyond by refunding me my entire order for this negative experience. Mind you, my order was $24. He said he would only refund me the $5. I felt this to be unacceptable, seeing that this was first time visiting this restaurant and the food was undercooked. My boyfriend is a regular. Neither of us will be back due to the poor service and undercooked food. See photos attached.

The waiter came around 15 long minutes after we were seated. Food delivered another 20 min later. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. Ramen was undercooked. Nobody around to ask for a fork and with kids and when food have arrived at the table, what do you do? This used to be a good place. Now, I may never be back.
I ordered a bowl of ramen for pickup through Uber Eats. I was charged 20% above menu pricing and the portion was small. If you want to overpay and for a small portion of ramen, this is the spot to try!

I have been going to this location since 2017, when they actually took time to make their broth. Unfortunately, today was my last day going. I put in a note that said “please include kikurage”. When I got there, the hostess let me know that it would be extra, which was fine. What is confusing is that there is not an option when you place an online order to include kikurage, only to exclude. Years ago, this was included in the bowl without an additional fee. But now, since they are including spinach in the bowls instead of kikurage, they should update their website to follow suite. The hostess accidentally charged me $0.06 for the kikurage then chased me down to my car (I had already started my car) for the remaining $2.64. On top of this, I ordered spicy broth only to get mild. It’s quite obvious it isn’t spicy just by looking at it. Overall disappointing experience and will not be back.

Jinya has been my go to spot for a while now. I always know I can get a dope bowl of ramen that soothes my vegan soul.
Our server, Iris, handled our meal with excellent care from beginning to end. I was very hungry and she was smooth and efficient without making the rhythm of the meal feel rushed. Since I was catching up with my good homie, it was really nice to be able to focus all my energy on our conversation and just have a good night.
