Two stars because of the atmosphere. It’s cute and very Instagram like. If you’re into wine and cocktails-this is for you. Food was meh, not authentic at all. Pho was not hot enough and not much flavor. If you’re looking for pho, go somewhere else.

Is this a restaurant or a wine store?Pre-pandemic I had popped in and wanted to do a quick take away order; and, the proprietor politely refused (in order to maintain the quality of the food). I get that and so I looked forward to returning. I don't know whether they changed hands during the intervening time; however, we were incredibly disappointed. We arrived on a Friday night excited to try the place and drove out of our way. There was no one by reception, so we navigated the maze ourselves and looked at a very cramped bar and front of restaurant. We actually moved from the first table because of the low back chairs. Once seated at our small table, our drink delivery came in hot, dripping and spilling out of the glasses and onto the table. No one wants to drink from a sticky glass.I think we enjoyed one of the spring roll appetizers; however, were dreadfully disappointed & somewhat awestruck, by the portion size and quality of our entrees. While the staff was cheerful, our server virtually disappeared after the delivery of our entree. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was not particularly busy, so this really didn't make sense to us. I think we had to specifically go out of our way to get more water. The final insult to injury, was that we had to pay for valet parking, even though it was sign branded!Needless to say, we won't be back...

I've been a regular patron at NAM Kitchen Sandy Springs for several months now, and I must say, my experiences have been a rollercoaster of emotions. The restaurant itself boasts a charming ambiance and an impressive wine selection, which initially drew me in. However, my recurring question each time I visit is: why do I keep coming back?Let's start with the positives: the food is undeniably good. Each dish I've tried has been flavorful and well-prepared, which is what keeps me returning despite the less-than-ideal aspects of my visits.Unfortunately, the standout issue lies with the owner. To put it bluntly, her attitude leaves much to be desired. Despite being a paying customer and attempting to engage in friendly small talk, I've consistently been met with cold indifference from her. It's disheartening to feel unwelcome in a place where you're supposed to enjoy a meal and relax. Moreover, it seems that the owner's favoritism extends to seating arrangements. Despite calling ahead to reserve seats at the bar, my requests have often been disregarded. On one occasion, I was even informed by the bartenders that the owner tends to seat people at the bar based on her personal preferences. This kind of behavior only serves to alienate customers and create a hostile atmosphere. My most recent visit was the tipping point. Despite making a reservation for three seats at the bar, upon arrival, I found only two seats available. The third seat had been occupied by the owner's friends, and I was met with skepticism when I mentioned my reservation. Even after a seat adjacent to me became vacant, the owner attempted to seat other patrons there, disregarding my reservation entirely. When I expressed my frustration, I was met with hostility from both the owner and her brother, who accused me of "bad energy" and ultimately asked me to leave. It's disheartening to be treated so poorly simply because I'm not a favored regular or friend of the owner. In conclusion, while NAM Kitchen Sandy Springs may offer delicious food and a charming atmosphere, the unacceptable behavior of the owner overshadows any positive aspects. As a paying customer who abides by the rules, it's disheartening to be consistently mistreated. I'm writing this review as a warning to others: if you're not a regular or in the owner's inner circle, don't expect to receive the same level of service or respect. Buyer beware.

The manager Thuy was so rude! If you’re a person of color approach with caution! My cousin didn’t like the drink that was made and she refused to remake the drink. Thuy was bartending and told our server if he remade the drink, he would have to pay for it. We requested to speak with her, she never came to our table but proceeded to offer free shots to customers who were not of color. I went to the bar to speak with her and Thuy proceeded to tell me that she was too busy, she’s a small business and she would lose $20 for remaking the drink. She begin to get upset when I pointed out that she offered other people free shots and if she was that hard for money how could she afford to provide free shots. I also stated that she could have offered our table free shots if she was t going to remake the drink then she proceeded to yell profanity as I walked away. I will NEVER EVER return or recommend this restaurant. Very unprofessional!!!!! The staff seemed afraid of her, she didn’t speak to them nicely either.

We were a party of six out for some Christmas festivities and this was our first time visiting Nam. We had a reservation and were seated immediately which is great on a Saturday night. For food, I’m giving 3 stars because the drinks were tasty, the sushi was good for an Atlanta restaurant and overall, the food had nice flavor. There’s so many phenomenal restaurants in Atlanta and though the food is good, it doesn’t compare to the other offerings in the area. I also thought it a bit tacky that the soy sauce for our sushi was in plastic cups and not little bowls like other Asian restaurants. (See pic)For service, this was the downer of the evening. Unfortunately, our server was rarely seen, put in the wrong drink orders, didn’t seem to know the menu and was extremely slow to come back around. We ate our entire entrees without him ever coming by to refill our waters, get more drinks, etc. The service was so poor that we started grabbing random staff to help us. The required 20% service charge was icing on the cake. From the time we asked for the checks to the time we got our card back, it was a 20 minute process which is unacceptable. For atmosphere, it was definitely different and had its own vibe, however, there was so much stuff in that it felt tight at our table. Someone made a comment “wow, they really pack stuff in here.”Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I would not recommend an evening here.

I think the comment about “people of color should not come here” is absurd. If you order a drink you should absolutely pay for it. Know what you want before placing an order just to send it back! I’ve never had a bad experience here as a black woman. The owner and staff are very sweet and personable. Overall great atmosphere accompanied by delicious food and signature cocktails.

Very overpriced. What ever they list on menu for ingredients- do not put half of them. I had a cocktail with 5 ingredients… it was Barely two of it in it. Rolls sushi … $22 per each , have chip crab sticks and do not know what else inside. Tuna tartar - $22. Small peace of chopped tuna with soya Souse ( did not find any pine nuts ) very simply prepared , I would do much better. Only Decor what you pay for … and location

Went in before the Xmas parade to get a drink. Was told the top shelf stuff at the bar was too expensive to open… so why have it on the shelf? Never seen a bar have bottles out that couldn’t be opened.

Warning: If you're a person of color, think twice before dining here. My recent experience at this restaurant, managed by Thuy Bich, was appalling. The atmosphere was marred by her loud, obnoxious behavior, including yelling expletives across the restaurant. Our discomfort intensified when my simple request to replace a poorly made drink was bluntly refused by Thuy, who insisted I pay for both if I ordered another. Her refusal to engage with us, while seemingly attentive to other patrons, highlighted a distressing indifference. This culminated in a confrontation where she dismissively stated her disregard for customer service. This treatment seemed starkly different from that of others, leading me to believe that our race was a factor. I urge caution to anyone of color considering this establishment.

They are delicious and not open until 5pm on Saturday. Update your hours. Drove too far for your hours to be wrong!!

An unbelievable wine selection, at super reasonable prices and you can browse through the restaurant and pick out your bottle. Also, consistently fantastic food and service. The green beans and chicken, as well as the short ribs are fire! The restaurant has a neighborhood field with many locals walking to the restaurant to eat. Perfect for dinner before a show or concert.
