Ray's on the River

The food was absolutely phenomenal and we were blessed with a server named DJ. My family and I were visiting from Chicago and he made us feel right at home. He gave us amazing recommendations and was extremely helpful with the menu. He struck up great conversation with us and made our experience even better.

I was in Atlanta for work and Ray's was highly recommended by the locals. We didn't arrive to see the sunset, but I hear Ray's is a great place to watch it. Our table was by the big glass wall which made me wish I had gotten there sooner. They also have an extensive outdoor patio and seating along the river.

The food was excellent, I started with Oysters Rockefeller, and had the surf and turf special. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The crab cake, and shrimp were excellent as well and complimented the steak perfectly. Sides were top notch and the jalapeño cream corn brûlée was particularly good.

Our servers David and Justin were attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. Service was top notch!

I highly recommend Ray's, and suggest getting a reservation there 30 minutes before sunset.

We had an unforgettable dining experience at Ray’s on the River, and it was all thanks to our incredible server, Tangie. From start to finish, she provided the best service we’ve ever had. Tangie was not only highly attentive but also had a fantastic sense of humor that made our evening so much fun. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations showcased her expertise and made our meal even more enjoyable.

From the moment I walked through the door, the aura of excellence greeted me with an inviting service experience. As I was being seated, I noticed the ambiance and the peaceful presence flowing from the Chattahoochee River. Since it was brunch time, I ordered a Garden Omelette with along with a Latte. The service was impeccable! In addition to the amazing service, the server mentioned favorite dessert or theirs and it was called Lemon Butter Cake with Blueberries!!!!!

The rest is history……..If you are a breathing and living soul, YOU MUST TRY THIS DESSERT!!!!! I promise you would tell me, Thank you! I am forever loyal to Ray’s on the River.

The experience was delightful. The food, service, and ambiance were all stunning. Live music enhanced the atmosphere wonderfully. It's the little details that count, like the overhead heaters at the front, which were a lovely addition for the winter season.

Enjoyed an anniversary dinner here and the food and service was great! Enjoyed the ribeye porcini rubbed steak and lobster tail. The dessert brownie was good as well. The holiday decor is really nice and there was live music playing when we were there!

Celebrated my 1 year anniversary with my wonderful servers David and Zach they were very attentive and ensured we had a great experience. David did great proposing the lobster omelette it was amazing. Thankyou Zach and David!

We had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Ray's on the River today with friends, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! Our server, Liz, was exceptionally friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the menu. She provided excellent recommendations, including a variety of delicious cocktail options.

The service was impeccable—our water glasses were always full, and the teamwork among the staff was truly impressive. Everyone pitched in to keep tables pre-bussed and maintained a cheerful, inviting atmosphere.

The manager, Shannon, stopped by our table to ensure our experience was nothing short of phenomenal. It’s refreshing to see management actively engaging with guests, ensuring everything not only looked and smelled fantastic but also met the highest standards of hospitality.

As a former server myself, I can confidently say this team is hitting every service benchmark and going above and beyond expectations. Hats off to Liz, Shannon, and the entire team for a memorable dining experience. Ball Ground, GA, applauds your excellence!

I literally got food poisoning from their crab, had to call five times to speak to an actual human, and then when they picked up the girl on the other end gave me an attitude. Her manager then called me back talking to me about my experience and I asked for a refund for both of the meals that had crab on it, the jumbo lump crab cakes and the salmon oscar, he said that he’d be more than happy to do that for me. Said it would take 3-5 business days. I just checked my bank statement and it said that I got refunded $23.50……? I am for sure not an idiot and I know well enough that both of those meals together did NOT cost $23.50 and in reality cost way more. I have heard nothing but good things about this restaurant and for the first time I went to celebrate my friends birthday dinner, I get food poisoning and then I don’t even get a full refund for those meals? Everything else was good except for the two meals that gave me and my friend food poisoning.
