I love coming here after each Friday night game (im in marching band) snd even on Saturdays with my mom but ive noticed its better to just dine in staff are 10x ruder when you want takeout after 9 of the night

The atmosphere here was incredibly unwelcoming. I will tell this story as matter-of-factly as possible.

First, when we walk in (a group of 6), we walk over to our booth and sit down. We are the only people in the Waffle House, besides the three staff members. One of them was brand new (Adrian, the sweet one), the Manager on duty, and the chef. They get our drink orders and everything was normal. Until we mention that we are waiting for our food order until our last two friends get there. This seemed to spark some anxiety or something in the MOD, and she immediately says, “All the plates won’t fit. You need to get two tables.”

We respond, “We gotcha, I’m sure we’ll figure it out.” For reference, years ago when I was still in High School, we fit 10 people at a single booth. Of course, it was goofy and over the top, but the plates still fit and we ordered a ton of food. So today, when we were relaxed about it, we think this stressed them or something.

A few minutes later, our last two friends showed up and we pulled up two chairs to the booth and started chatting. The restaurant was still empty at this point, so they did not need the chairs. Adrian takes our order. This was normal, she was very sweet.

After a few minutes of catching up with our friends, the MOD yells out, “Y’all need to know that there is no way that all the plates will fit at the table. You may want to move because there is no way they’ll fit.” We respond with our same response from earlier, especially because half of us were sharing plates. Picture a 5-person order at most.

Side note, while we were waiting on our food (which took forever), a group of about 5 boys with who seemed to be one of their grandfathers, ordered food, received food, ate, paid, and left by the time we received our first two plates. Maybe they ordered apple juice or something.

Then we made our fatal mistake, we moved our condiment basket to the booth behind us, to prepare for the plates, which there will apparently be an astronomical amount of. Then, out of nowhere, the chef starts yelling at us, “YOU NEED TO MOVE! YOU CAN’T BE MOVING MY CONDIMENTS TO DIFFERENT TABLES THAT ARE MEANT FOR FUTURE CUSTOMERS! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!” Then the funny part, after moving the condiments that we moved, he put them on another table, the exact thing he said not to do! So, it was uncalled for, illogical, and hypocritical.

Again, there was no one else there besides the group of kids who were leaving at this point! We were so in shock we all wanted to leave and walk across the street to the Sandy Springs Diner. The only reason we didn’t, is because we did not want to “dine and dash” since two of our meals were made. So we were much kinder in our response and moved tables.

We made sure all of our tips went solely to Adrian. If the chef and MOD who were there during the afternoon shift on 10/4/2025 are reading this, please take a chill pill and remember your job is to make the customer happy. Instead, all you did was reiterate the running joke that every time you go to Waffle House a fight breaks out. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, and if these two employees work here often, I would not be surprised if this happened all the time.

Next time we visit our friends in Georgia, we will obviously not be coming back here. And I hope their management reads this and takes corrective action before the culture gets any more controlling or toxic.

lola is crazy. i was trying to check out but the people in front of me were having issues with lola. they were simply trying to do a split transaction between a debit card and a gift card. what i’ve gathered is that lola did not understand what they were trying to do and somehow their system bugged out and wouldn’t let lola continue with any transactions. after a few min of trying to get it to work, lola starts blaming the customers as if it was their fault she put it in wrong. then i tried to pay for both mine and their tickets in cash. i gave her exact change for both, but she wouldn’t accept it bc she wanted a tip. she ended up grabbing the money but complaining that she was stressed and deserved a tip. i personally felt that she didn’t deserve a tip after blaming customers for her mistakes, not to mention her service was the bare minimum during the meal. i considered going to get more cash but when she DEMANDED more i simply refused. a tip is EARNED, lola, not GUARANTEED.

Went to this waffle house today and was told me and my lady could not come back because we always complain.
Went on and ordered coffee and thought I poured sugar but the SUGAR container had SALT in it. Would like to hear from a manager on this one

This is a great place for good food. The manager is fantastic and seems to do well with her staff. I've gone for a while now at least twice a month. The food has always been fresh, even when they're busy they are very efficient. Shelia is great as well. Everyone there is great, I just don't know all the names.
Great place, highly recommend and I hope the corporate office reads this and any employee there should bring this to their next review to remind them how a well run store and great people get results.
