Wait staff clarified exactly what was vegan and made sure our rice was not cooked with butter. Although the wait staff was not Persian herself, she clearly had interest in the food and culture. She was knowledgeable on all the food and the celebrations the restaurant was named after. We highly recommend this restaurant as Persian Vegans as it can be so difficult to find. Lastly the food is a bit expensive, but it is such high quality we think it’s a great value. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-25

Lamb kabob and crispy rice were amazing. Drunken rabbit had the just perfect smokiness to it. Service was great too.

Very good experience, food was great , ambience is classy as well!
The food was delicious. I ordered the KASHK BADEMJOON (app), CHICKEN SHISH KABOB (main), and BAKLAVA(dessert). The flavor of all was perfection. We made a reservation weeks in advance and should have requested inside seating only.
I'd highly recommend NOT sitting outside. The chairs were hard and uncomfortable. The table was small and the lighting is non-existent. The lamp had to be shared to see the menu.
There's no where for you to put a purse or coat. The server brought my food bag and put it on the ground. I had to request another place to hold, which they held at the front desk while we had dessert.
If you want great food, do not go during peak times to fully enjoy.

Food is very good. Disappointing that they charge for tea refills. Rumis is better food and you get your own pot of tea refilled no charge.

This is my second time dining at Yalda specifically for lunch, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, the food was very tasty and great quality.
My friend and I ordered 3 items from the lunch menu to split and it was more than enough. The salmon wrap is excellent and I recommend ordering this because they typically only have it on the lunch menu. It is served with seasoned fries and a savory dipping sauce. Loved! The Chenjeh (grilled sirloin) was excellent. We ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked.
Overall, I do recommend Yalda but I will say that Rumi’s kitchen still reigns supreme for Persian cuisine. I would rank Delbar #2.
Excellent service here and the aesthetic is totally on point!

As someone that doesn’t eat Persian food often, the staff made it very easy. They potitely explained things and provided great recommendations. Will definitely come back. Also grab an espresso martini!
