Minnow Trap Bar & Grill

Deeply disappointed that the county authorized federal funding to allow these tenants to take over the only community center in order to replace it with a privately owned bar business, the last thing the longstanding Gullah-Geechee community needs. The utility bills for the bar and grill are also being paid for by the county. In a place like McIntosh county, make of that what you will. Please do not support this place!!!!!!

Visited the Minnow Trap twice on my visit to Sapelo Island. Had the fried shrimp and the red snapper. Both were excellent! Was one of the thickest filets on a red snapper that I’d had and needed just a little more cook time. When it made it back, it was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to my next visit to Sapelo Island and the Minnow Trap.

Menu is great. So nice to have a local restaurant. Mike is a wonderful cook.

wonderful place , look out for new specials and great service

The atmosphere is the best! Service is always top notch! I've had chicken tenders, chicken wings, chicken sandwich and alligator tail! All was amazing!

Great shrimp basket, chicken wings and the beer is always ice cold.

Our group of 10 was seated and served quickly by Renee. She did a great job taking care of us the entire time. The menu is not massive but everything you need it to be. The drinks were well made. The atmosphere is local and friendly. We had never been before but left having made friends. Everyone at the bar came to sing happy birthday to my wife at the request of the owner.
