Food is just okay. Our waiter was attentive but the host never once cracked a smile from the time we were seated till we left. The restaurant is right on the Main Street so it being Halloween we had a front row seat to the celebrations. In my opinion the food is not worth the price.

We had a wonderful meal last night at 45 Bistro. The menu is excellent, and our service (Sadie) was delightful. Highly, highly recommend!

Enjoyed a salad without cheese and shoestring potatoes without cheese. I was told the chef could make something with quinoa but that didn’t resonate. Server didn’t tell us about specials. Oops. But was otherwise nice and efficient. Setting was outstanding and food pretty and tasty.

This restaurant is recommended and on a first visit I found the atmosphere very relaxed. I choose to eat at the bar & enjoyed a pear vodka which was refreshing. The main course lamb rack on saffron risotto was so delicious. Waiting staff courteous and professional.

Highly recommend! Escargot was excellent! Do not miss this experience for dinner in Savannah. Darren was our server...an absolute professional!

We chose 45 Bistro after reviewing their menu online. The choices were many and the descriptions given drew me in. I already knew when I arrived I wanted the black grouper. My husband was having duck. After our waiter, a gentleman and very professional, told us about the fresh snapper special, we both changed our minds and ordered the fresh snapper. For an appetizer we each had a crab cake that was 6 oz. (wow!) and had very little, if any, breading. It was another level crab cake! The fresh snapper over risotto with broccolini was phenomenal! The fish cooked perfectly, and did not require any further seasoning. The chef did a beautiful job on the presentation as well! The broccolini had zero bitter taste as broccolini sometimes does. For dessert we ordered coffee and amaretto, a chocolate banana fosters bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. There was a drizzled sauce over the bread pudding, but I cannot remember what it was called other than AMAZING! The amaretto for my coffee proved to be too sweet, and I ended up drinking plain decaf. That meal was "The Best" meal we had in Savannah during our visit! You will not be disappointed if you choose this wonderful restaurant. Only one critique, the waiter and I must have had cross communication because I asked for the remainder of my dinner meal to be boxed up to go. When he did not bring it to the table at the end of our meal I asked about it. He said he understood that I was full and didn't want anymore. (??) In any regard, I did not get upset about it, I was super full and had a great dinner experience. We will definitely go back here when we return to Savannah and continue to boast about how good the food was!

Amazing food. The beef carpaccio appetizer was the most tender and flavorful I’ve had. Paper thin slices twirled around the fork like a delicate pasta. We also had had the Tuna Tostada appetizer equally as good. Unique presentation with tender strips of the tuna on pizza shaped tostado pieces. For dinner we had the halibut special over a creamy risotto that was the perfect combination of delicate flakey fish and a thick sauce like risotto. And for dessert - the banana bread pudding, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Every thing was great including the service and cocktails too!

Very good food. Beautiful, comfortable interior. Slant towards more elegant than cool or funky. Big bar. Great for dining. Bartenders were very good.

This is an elegant restaurant known for steaks and seafood. It's in an historic hotel in the heart of Savannah. It is also rather pricey. Beet salad is one of our favorites. This one was different with endive lettuce, balsamic drizzle and candied walnuts -- very good. My wife had the Black Grouper, and it was excellent. It was served on a bed of spinach with a sauce that had sun-dried tomatoes. I had the filet mignon, and it was very good, but I should have ordered medium rare instead of medium because it was a little dry. It is served on pomme frites. Our server was good, but I wouldn't say particularly friendly.

45 Bistro is a charming restaurant located conveniently on Broughton Street. We reserved well ahead for a special anniversary. The room is attractive and the service very professional. We were served the bread with a dipping sauce that was so phenomenal, it should be bottled. The great disappointment of the evening was, having looked over the menu in advance, I had my heart set on the Rack of Lamb. What could be more appropriate in a French restaurant? Sadly, it had been replaced on the menu with a Lamb Shank which did not appeal to me. My husband had the Brick Oven Roasted Chicken served with a wild mushroom risotto, a satisfying dish. I wound up with the Filet which was fine but not the lamb I had anticipated. Overall, it was a very nice evening. One note, our table for two faced a curtain that separated the dining room from the bar. As a result, I was not treated to the view of the pretty dining room but just a curtain. We will give it another go on our next trip.

Service was timely both at the bar and in the dining room. Staff was attentive despite a busy night. Was pleased with the beet salad and wife was so happy with the salmon. Will be coming back.

Pleasant ambience. Good service. Decent wines. Entree order of fillet of beef name to the table cold. Manager informed and never spoke to us. Disappointing. Certainly not worth the prices they are charging. Average at best. C grade.

Six of us decided to meet here for dinner. Erik our server performed very professionally. The group of us ordered a couple of appetizers to share, then for the entrees we had Salmon, Duck, the Fish Special ( I forget what it was ) and I ordered the Lamb Shank. We also shared a side of Risotto and Brussels Sprouts. As. Canadian I found the food to be a tad pricey for my pocketbook, but we all enjoyed the delicious meal.

A wonderful dining experience at Bistro 45 a few days ago. We were very pleased with both the food and service, and we found the restaurant to be very cozy. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna Tostada, Escargot, and Mozzarella Salad. My husband - his Tuna Carpaccio and Ribeye steak. For dessert, the Traditional Crème brûlée and Georgia Pecan Dacquoise were delicious! Our server was also very accommodating and professional. A Great French bistro experience!

Best restaurant we ate at on our southern vacation. Great drinks, great food, great service, half of what it would cost in California. If you are ever in Savannah, eat here! We loved everything we ordered.
