My family and I visited this restaurant for the first time as a group of seven, and overall we had a great experience. From the outside, the building looks very similar to the community clubhouse, so we were a bit confused at first. But once we stepped inside, the atmosphere completely won us over—it's very nice, pretty, and clean, with a warm and welcoming vibe.
The service was excellent. Our server, Emily, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure our large group was well taken care of throughout the meal. Her hospitality really stood out and added a lot to our experience.
As for the food, it was generally okay. Most dishes were enjoyable and tasty, though the steak was a bit too salty for our taste. Even so, we still had a good time and appreciated the overall dining experience.
In the end, the combination of great service, pleasant atmosphere, and a comfortable setting made it a positive first visit. We would consider coming back, especially thanks to the wonderful service we received from Emily.

They really seem to enjoy feeding people and give off the energy that truly makes you feel at home. We had a tasting today with Ray and his wife Emily and let me just say, 10 stars!!! They were absolutely amazing: kind, attentive, and super transparent about pricing and contract details. They made us feel welcome and excited from the second we walked in. And the food? Incredible. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. 815 Bistro's food speaks for itself - it is simply incredible!! Ray and his team did a fantastic job catering my wedding in April at the Mackey House venue. Our wedding guests are still talking about the Brunswick stew, shrimp and grits, brisket, banana pudding and just everything!! Ray was also so great to work with.

Had an impromptu dinner at 815 Bistro. If you weren’t looking for it you could miss it tucked away in Grand Lake’s pool area. But it’s worth the find. We had the salmon, shrimp and grits and gnocchi with chicken. They are very newly opened and don’t yet have their full alcohol Liscence to allow for Sunday sales but you can BYOB. The food was excellent. Highly recommend!
