We come to Savannah once a year and Chris at The Alley Cat has truly makes our visits unforgettable! For the past 3 years, every time we’ve come in, he’s gone above and beyond to make our experience the best. Chris is friendly, attentive, and always welcoming, he is a big reason we keep coming back yearly. We highly recommend!

Newspaper menu cool but not efficient for learning about their best drink offerings

Took a while to make 2 cocktails

4 people in bar

Did not like the music selection-asked about other options and was shut down

Went to leave and heard bartender actually making fun of us and laughing with other patrons about us!

Not hip/not cool/go elsewhere!

I guess the people calling staff rude were right. I went here to get a drink, and there were a handful of people sitting outside, mostly looking at their phones. Apparently one of them was a door person. She barely acknowledged me while still staring at her phone, asked for an ID in a snotty voice, and as I was going to get it out, told me there was a wait and flicked her hand at me like she was swatting a fly. I left because if that's the welcome mat, I can't imagine the treatment you get inside. I can't help but notice that another reviewer had a similarly negative experience with the same person. Pretty sorry for a place asking the prices they do.

I’m a local and Alley Cat *was* a staple, but I will not return after tonight. The woman working the door could not have been more rude - and that’s the kindest word I’m willing to use on a public platform to describe her behavior. First, she commented on my friend’s accent being too hard for her to understand and was not nice about it (my friend’s also a local, for what it’s worth). We had friends waiting for us inside but were told the place was at capacity and we needed to wait. Okay, no problem, we stepped aside! We called our friends to let them know why we were not coming down (at capacity, had to wait) but the woman at the door yelled at us, saying if we didn’t cut the attitude we wouldn’t get in at all. We did absolutely nothing to deserve that comment; we were simply informing friends why we weren’t joining them inside yet. She continued the snarky comments so we left. That behavior is unacceptable and I will not be returning.

Not going to give this a one star off one bad experience but my gf and I were very excited to stop in for a quick drink on our way home as we were walking her aunt back to the place we were staying. We stopped in to get her a quick water for her aunt and both my gf and I a drink (mind you I haven’t even drank at all yet). According to the bartender w/ short light brown hair we had to sit down and eat because we were “plastered”
All we wanted was to get my gf and I a quick drink to go and some water to take care of her aunt but instead were treated so freaking poorly. Ive never seen a person deny other people in a group drinks who did nothing wrong and were respectful the whole whopping 5min we were in there. I asked politely why I couldn’t get a drink cause I legit didn’t say one word or do anything wrong and she called all of us plastered and that we would need food before any drinks. We just came from a late dinner to take her aunt home. One drunk person affiliated with my group apparently means the rest of us are too. We’re all in the service industry so we understand not serving someone if they’ve had too much but we were all very respectful and immediately removed her aunt from the situation so I just don’t understand the hostility from the bartender. Wish I got the name of her, she was not the friendliest or understanding with us whatsoever. Looks like a cool atmosphere though, just an unfortunate situation for me.

Drinks are very expensive and are literally 1/2 to 3/4 ice. We sat at the bar and watch them make our drinks. They felt no embarrassment whatsoever by adding a ton of ice to the top of each drink. For $18 a drink I expected something a little bit more than this. The drink was tasty, but there wasn’t much of it. We decided to not order food because if this is how they handle the bar, which is quite extensive Then who knows what they do to the food. When we walked in, we were very impressed with the bar because they have a wide variety of alcohol and accompaniments. This place is very disappointing. Won’t be returning.

Fantastic cocktail bar. The Girl Dinner martini was hands down the best martini I’ve ever had. So balanced and well-thought-out. I’ll be thinking of it for a long time!
