We waited for 20 minutes at our table and no one ever came to serve us. It was so cold in the restaurant that we could not stay. We never did get any food.

We have been coming here on our travels from NC to South Florida for 6 years. Tonite was a special experience at Aqua Star. Chef Luke and Caroline gave us a five star dinner experience. The resort is immaculate and the staff are courteous and experienced .
Definitely worth a visit or stay.

The new menu is very good. The friend chicken skins and pimento cheese with hot honey was delicious. The lemon ricotta cheesecake was also great. Clarence, our waiter, was wonderful. Friendly and great service.

They didn't know where the oysters came from. The seasonal fruit in the sangria was slices of orange and a slice of lime. The mac and cheese was cold. The pork chop and the scallops were decent.

Great disappointment as hamburger was ordered without server asking how this was to be cooked. It came blood red and I had to hail down someone to get the server to check how my order came so I could request it to be cooked. I never asked if I would like to have my iced tea to be refilled

What a beautiful restaurant. The service itself was absolutely amazing. The breakfast buffet, it was it to die for. We tried to have a dinner there one night now.I know that they were in the middle of changing things around, but we did not have the best experience. The wait time for the food was way too long. And once it came some of it had to be sent back, they did try to accommodate us, though. And to make up for it by some free wine and a free breakfast buffet. So that was very nice of them. I will definitely go back and try them again.

The restaurant was half full. We had a table of (7). our server was polite. She apologized constantly. Different patrons/groups mingled into restaurant. After 1 hour and 45 minutes after ordering, our food still hadn't arrived.. all the other patrons that had mingled into restaurant after us had all eaten and paid their tabs and left... that's unacceptable . When food arrived it was average at best..

I invited 2 friends from Savannah to joins us for dinner on July 5th. Prior to ordering dinner we ordered cocktails. I was embarrassed for my guest when he received his martini served in a mixed drink glass. The server informed us that they were out of martini glasses although the restuarant was at 15% capacity. We ordered 3 meals from the menu that were very good. My wife ordered the buffet. The fish and chicken from the buffet were over cooked. I will give a shout out to the kitchen for preparing a special order of green beans for my wife who has allergies. During dinner I ordered a 2nd glass of wine(same type) which was served in a different sized wine glass. The total experience was subpar for what I expected from a Westin property.

We stayed at this Westin Hotel two times this year and last night makes it three in the year. The stay including today was great but dining at the Aqua Star was another story. Reservations for four and the greeting was not as welcoming from the male and female hostess. Just negative, not warming, no welcome, no smile, and not happy to see us. Why not? Because we were only a handful of diners here? Who knows? The service that evening was under basic. The server, her name was PIDA or PITA, had the most heavy thick Indian Accent. We couldn't understand her and had to listen and read her lips to carefully understand. Very tough, had to ask a few times to repeat herself. For dinner we ordered the homemade Gnocchi dish, Jambalaya croquettes dish, the smoked paprika mussels, and the bone in Pork chop. The first two dishes were very salty, the mussels were a little too spicy for our guest' taste and my pork chop came out raw after I ordered it medium. You can't eat pork raw. Hey Chef, Place a thermometer in it and check the inner temp. They took it back and came out medium after a long wait. So for breakfast, there were only a few tables occupied. We all opted for the breakfast buffet. Our server Kahrea who was our server got us three coffees and one water, nothing else, didn't see her until we asked for the check. No refills on the coffee or water. Sure I need two cups of coffee to wake up and before I hit the road. Then there were the hostess and other wait staff at the entry of the restaurant where they were talking and laughing out loud (LOL). Totally unprofessional, and unnecessary, they were laughing so hard that it caught our attention and other diners attention to look over there. We will take the ferry next time and dine across the river.

The service was terrible. Our server acted like they were bothered by being our server and had something better to do. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant. The server had major attitude despite my self and my family being polite as possible. The food left much to be desired and was served lukewarm. I ordered the chicken gumbo. I will never come back here again.

Recently ate at this place
Ordered a filet...it was cooked very well and tasted great but unfortunately the sides (haricot verts and marble potatoes) were very bland and all the flavors just seemed to be the same blandness (had to add butter, salt and pepper just to get flavor)
The waitress I had was nice but the overall atmosphere was lacking. For this being a Westin hotel and spa it was disappointing

We ate at the Aqua twice...one breakfast buffet and dinner that evening. Both experiences were BAD! At breakfast, the eggs were cold, the sausages were cold, even the "hot cakes" were cold....and for the outrageous price of $20.00 per person. Unfortunately we had previously made reservations to meet local friends there for dinner that evening. We hoped dinner would be better.....not so. We did have a table with a wonderful view of the Savannah River which helped overcome the rather bland and minimalist decor of the restaurant itself.......very little in the way of ambiance. Speaking of "bland" ...that best describes each of our meals. I started with Fried Green Tomatoes that were beyond bland....three very thin, over breaded, over fried tomatoes....and for over $15.00. The entire meal for each of us was grossly overpriced and poor in quality and quantity. Ironically, we had views of numerous much better restaurants on the other side of the river.
