We went there for Christmas Day dinner and were not happy at all. People told us how beautiful the scenery is to looking out the windows. Looking out hand-smudged windows was very difficult and we were only on the second floor so the view wasn't as beautiful as people were telling us. It's like sitting in a big hall with tables. The service was very good with attentive hostess and wait staff. The ambiance was ok since it was in the ballroom. They did have a guy playing old 70s soft rock which helped. Food was good, not great. Highlight was oysters on half shell. The price was reasonable for a full buffet at a nice hotel on Thanksgiving.
We have been coming here on our travels from NC to South Florida for 6 years. Tonite was a special experience at Aqua Star. Chef Luke and Caroline gave us a five star dinner experience. The resort is immaculate and the staff are courteous and experienced .
