I got the flounder sandwich. Yuck. Carey Hilliard’s much better. Back to rotisserie chicken!

Server charged me for my coworkers $40 meal then when I told her about it she charged me for my $13 meal & said "don't worry it won't charge you twice" but I pretty much paid for my meal 4 times.... food was great they just don't want to fix their mistake.

11-18-24. I appreciate your reply. No sir/ma'am my issue is that she told me it wouldn't charge twice after we made her aware of the mistake but it did. Nothing was fixed. I can show on my statement where I paid a $39 bill as well as my $13 bill & none of it got transferred back.... I understand that mistakes happen, my only reason for negative review was it wasn't actually fixed & when I called the next day I was rushed off the phone told to call back.

Waited 45 minutes. My order was wrong and room temperature. The parking lot had perhaps 6 cars and one take out order ahead of me.

I really wanted brisket today and sadly I was disappointed. Not only was the brisket not sliced as brisket should be, it was diced. I imagine it’s their way of cutting corners and charging the same price. The flavor was good however the diced brisket was quite dry. Our food was not hot but more room temperature. Pork is not an option therefore I Wasted money on beef. Our server on the other hand was very attentive. Older lady who was an awesome communicator when it came to our orders and kept our cups filled.
The young hostess needs some customer service training for sure.

I placed a pick-up order by phone for me and my family. Everything was good, food wise. I ordered chicken fingers, red rice, and a large sweet tea for myself. My family members ordered the four wing special with collard greens and potato salad and the Barnes burger with a cup of green beans. The cashiers on the take-out side need a lesson on customer service. I'm not saying you have to be overly friendly, but at least be respectful.

We had Barnes cater a corporate event and they did such a phenomenal job. The food was hot and delicious. Oysters were salty and perfection. The staff was great and Hugh himself was very hands on and involved. Would recommend to anyone needing catering for an event to reach out to Barnes. We will definitely use them again. Great job!

I've been there at least 1 days for the past 3 weeks, in addition to the past. While everywhere else seems to be cotting back on portion sizes, Barnes clearly is not.

Additionally, we have not had to wait to be seated & every waitress we've had had been quick, but with attentive service.

Lastly, add to that, the food is great too, from salads to their barbeque plates, which to me is the best in Savannah. HIGHLY recommend for a great & reasonable place to dine at any time!

The food has gone downhill! We ordered fried chicken with onion rings and mac and cheese. We also ordered fried pork chops with onion rings and red rice. These meals came with one half a slice of toast. Who gives less than a full slice of bread?? My husband sent the Mac back because it looked old and burnt and tasted the same. My red rice was not fresh. We were some of the first customers at opening, so I'm not sure why the food wasn't fresh.
The fried chicken was cooked to order, fresh, and tasty, but it was so greasy that it made my husband's stomach queasy. It was the same for my pork chops, plus most of the batter fell off as I tried to cut and eat the chops. I could have gotten grilled chops if I didn't want batter. We squeezed lemon in our water to try to cut the grease. The onion rings tasted good but were greasy with batter falling off as well. My husband switched the Mac for baked beans, and they were better. Our server was attentive and efficient. We haven't been to Barnes in a while, but the food was never this bad.

Parking: There was a lot of parking available in the parking lot.
