Unplanned late lunch upon arriving in town for a few days vacation. Although the restaurant was about to stop lunch we were treated with exceptional service. I ordered the PoBoy and it was great. Shrimp fried to perfection with all balanced fixings on fantastic roll. Side dish of cole slaw and roasted/fried potatoes filled the plate and was delicious. This big eater with champagne taste couldn’t have been happier. My wife loved her salad and the She Crab soup was very good although a bit salty. Recommend that the soup is served with a side roll but our terrific server and the kitchen heated up a diner roll at no charge upon our request. A little thing but speaks to the customer care.

We spent our Friday night at Belford’s Savannah Seafood & Steaks, a gem my husband discovered while surfing YouTube. The restaurant is Black-owned and operated in excellence, and that excellence shows in every detail. We had a 7pm reservation, arrived early, and were seated right away. Our table was in a spacious dining room with only a handful of tables—intimate, quiet, and not overcrowded. The oversized windows gave us a beautiful street view, which made the evening atmosphere even more charming. Our server, Sanyia, was incredible—warm, attentive, and present without ever being intrusive. For starters, my husband ordered the BLT Stack, a creative twist on fried green tomatoes layered with candied bacon, arugula, and pickled red onions. It was hands down the best BLT we’ve ever tasted—absolutely amazing. For our entrees, I had the seared sea scallops with risotto and broccolini. Everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked beautifully. My husband ordered the shrimp, greens, and grits, another dish bursting with flavor and made with care. Both plates were so satisfying that we had no room left for dessert! We left completely pleased with the service, the atmosphere, and the meal. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Wow! This was so bad. First off, there were four tables seated inside and it took 15 mins for a server to arrive at our table. Their excuse was “the servers were confused about which table they had.” We ordered martinis and asked for bread before our meal. I ordered the short rib (52 $) my mom ordered the southern fried chicken. The drinks were fine and our meal came out shortly after before we had even received any bread. Our food was freezing. This was the absolute worst experience we’ve ever had. We told the waiter his name was Scott ( he smelt like he had been smoking a joint) and he took the food away and we just asked for the check. No care in the world. The manager came over after 10 mins after we had already paid almost 50$ for our martinis, also not a care in the world. We will never go back and I discourage people from going to this restaurant.

This place was wonderful! The food and service was fantastic. I got the salmon, which was the best salmon I’ve ever had and my boyfriend got the steak which he said was amazing. For dessert, we got the bread pudding which was a 10/10. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was great. I forgot our servers name but she was terrific. We made a reservation but we didn’t need it, however it was a Sunday night so you may need one on a busier night.

Wow amazing food and over the top service. This was our second choice tonight and we are so glad we came.

Update 10/24/25
Still a great restaurant. Filet was amazing and the fried potatoes OMG. My husband didn’t care for the elk chops and our server wasn’t really that great but otherwise it was an excellent experience!

I never got to try the food so I can’t rate it. We had a 8:30 reservation which we were 20 mins early to, when we walked in we were greeted by the bar tender & then we followed a man near the deck area where we were waiting to get seated, the staff seemed unorganized. We were seated & were waiting at least 20 mins, we were not greeted at all, a table got there after us & they were greeted & given water. We ended up getting up & leaving because it’s ridiculous that we were waiting that long & no one even cared that we left, the waitress seemed to be stumbling around. Won’t be going again.

The shrimp n grits case literally made me put my fork and knife down and thank the lord for good chefs. Greg (John) was awesome.

Waited 60 minutes for appetizers, and 90 minutes for our entrees, and when they finally came out they were not edible. And they weren’t even busy. Gross food. Will not ever go back.

Husband and I went for brunch, and we both agreed that the octopus appetizer was our favorite. The crab benedict was also good. We definitely would like to go back next time we visit Savannah.

Our waiter was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated, but the rest of the experience fell short. The place felt overpriced (our bill was $160 for an appetizer, two of the cheapest mains and a dessert), and for that money I expected better. The hostess’s pajama-like top stood out as unprofessional compared with the rest of the staff, the table was wobbling, my fried chicken lacked flavor and texture (more like boiled than fried), and no one refilled our drinks after the meal arrived. Lovely server, but the food quality, service details and overall polish need improvement.

We arrived earlier than our reservation. The extremely friendly host was able to seat us early. Our waitress was just as friendly and awesome at her job! The food and drinks were exceptional! The atmosphere was perfect! My group was very impressed! Worth every penny.

The wait for outer food was a little long, but management made up for it by deducting a percentage of our bill
