We were trying to celebrate a birthday with out-of-town relatives. We had cocktails while we waited for our reservation. 3 of us ordered the same cocktail (Tanqueray and tonic) which was a bit different and not to our liking. The waiter was a bit rude to our guest and took a long time to finally get the bill. We had a dozen oysters which were excellent but our entrees were a different story. Two of us ordered the crab cakes which were dry, mostly breading and not any better than frozen ones from the supermarket Our waitress was very good but otherwise the decision to try the Common was a bad one. As locals, we will not be back - there are too many excellent restaurants in Savannah This was a very expensive mistake!

Good food and service although a bit overpriced, but maybe not so much for Savannah. We wouldn't return simply because the background music was really obnoxious electronic music, and much too loud. Play some unobtrusive and appropriate background music and we'll be back.

We did the pre set menu experience. The food was good but too many sweets. Champagne and sherbet and 2 dessert courses and a sherry. Too much for us. The oysters and pasta were very good. I would sub two savory dishes for the sherbet and one dessert.

Delicious and creative food ! We chose this place while visiting Savannah and loved it. Service was wonderful and ambience fun and upbeat. Tables were a bit small and close together. There was an active bar so lots of people and some noise. Overall great meal and nice place.

The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was perfect. They have a sommelier who was most helpful in finding us a wine on what was a very extensive list Our appetizer was amazing. As nice and as perfect our waiter, the wine the restaurant was the food could use more pep in its step. There was no ahh or mmm while we were eating. In my opinion match the ambiance and the experience the food needs to be better

From the moment I walked in I was warmly greeted by the staff. I chose to sit at the bar as I was a solo diner and was immediately greeted by the lovely Laney. I ordered the Tybee Island oysters (which were incredible) and at Laney‘s recommendation had the shrimp and grits (amazing!!)I highly recommend, this lovely restaurant the food is amazing and the staff even more so:) can't wait to go back! The restaurant interior is very attractive however it is extremely loud, even on a mid week evening. Our waiter Robert was a poor example of hospitality as he was rude, neglected to give us information on the specials or desserts and seemed eager to rush us to leave. The food was presented in a very appealing manner with mixed results in flavor, the Sole fish special was delicious but overpriced and the short ribs were fairly tasteless and over powered by the cornbread. This was the only poor dining experience we have had in multiple visits to Savannah restaurants

Our favorite when stopping in Savannah every 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately we were told that a new executive chef is taking the reins and menu will change. We (I) have always come for the Pineapple Situation. It was introduced to us when the last new young chef came and even greeted us at the table. The dish could beat Bobby Flay! Best of Luck with the new menu we will try it but it will be hard to top the last menu and Chef.

Justin our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and special items and drinks. Craft cocktails were interesting and tasty. Food was nicely presented and full of flavor. Oysters were clean and tasty with several sauces to top them. Pork belly app was yummy and had a great crust and was accompanied by a variety of tasty items including cornichons, cheese and pickled peach. All in all very creative and high quality experience

In town for one night and decided to try Common Restaurant. I was offered on Open Table their Bartop Prix Fixe dinner. Perfect for anyone, who prefers to sit at the bar. I decided to give it a try. It was a remarkable experience, great food/drink pairing and value for the price. The bartender (Ro?) was very knowledgeable and professional. He added to the experience. Overall, a friendly staff and fun atmosphere in a casual setting!

Really inventive menu, complete with an extensive raw bar, wine list and unique cocktails Really convenient downtown access; we came in from Hilton Head and had no trouble locating them despite construction. Excellent service!!!

My husband and I went for our 44th anniversary. The salmon dish was delicious. My husband loved the special fish dish. He cleaned his plate. Service was great!!! Will go back soon.

We had friends in town and were seated in one of the corner window tables. It was a wonderful experience, and Jenny was an excellent server. They were thrilled with the meal and experience, too!

We came to eat with a group of 7, for which we had made a reservation. The group before us was still seated when we arrived, but left shortly after. We waited about 5 min past our reservation and the manager came over with champagne for all and apologized for the wait. Obviously, it was a none issue, but we were so impressed with his kindness and the way he ran his restaurant. Food was outstanding, service was fabulous (Tricia) and drinks were great. Will definitely be back!

The food was incredible and our server knew the menu by heart. She also was friendly, accommodating and was also very accurate in her recommendations! Can't wait to eat there again.
