Byrd's Cookies has been in business 100 years and is baked right here in Savannah. They are shipped worldwide. It all started with the Scotch Oatmeal variety. I just stopped by to purchase a tin which came in a gift bag for a Holiday gift for friends. There are free samples, too!
I had a bad experience with the cashier lady on my recent visit.
My relative who came from overseas spent over $100 for souvenir so she asked a few extra small bags for gifts.
The lady only gave us one tiny bag so we asked for 2 more, then she threw two bags on the table with attitude, and told us they usually charge for extra bags. I would gladly pay if they charge for extra bags. Just I don’t appreciate her bad attitude after we spent over $100...

We were pleased to find savory cookies, everything cheddar.I wound up getting salted caramel cookies and maple wafers since they didn't have pecan praline wafers. The pecan wafers are seasonal.
