Waters Ave Restaurant has really gone down hill the last few months. The walls of the booth are dirty, food and plain yuck on the floor and windows. Even the tables aren’t really wiped clean when we get there. The baseboards are grimy and dusty. We were there Friday, trash under every booth, server dropped a cup of ranch when clearing a table it went all over the floor and side of an empty booth, servers just stepped around and over until original server came back wiped “at” the spill, cleaned about half of it off the other booth and the floor was just left untouched. Air return which is in the dining area is plain gross. We will be trying Abercorn store going forward. Can’t imagine what the kitchen must look like if the dining room is so dirty. They were not very busy either….
The food was good, but the service was lacking and it took over 30 minutes for the food to come and they weren't busy yet. It was disappointing given previous experiences at this and other locations.

Called in a to go order, told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Walked inside to pay and pick up. The cashier was happy to confirm my order and take my money and then that was it. No directions, just a silent stare. I've never ordered at this restaurant before so I'm not sure what's expected but I assumed she'd let me know when our order was ready so I found a seat in the waiting section. After about 15 minutes (over 30 minutes from my call in) I started wondering if I assumed wrong. Walked back to the cashier to ask when the order would be ready and go figure, it was there the whole time. Had to ask for salad dressing for the salad, she asked if I wanted bbq sauce then never gave it to me. She packed up the order in 2 bags then handed me one of the bags, and ignored me when I asked about the other. Finally got all of my food home: cold, soggy, and mediocre. Not sure I'll order to go again, even other patrons realized how ridiculous it was.

Save the disappointment and skip this restaurant. We ordered shrimp salad sandwich. Looked like it was tossed in the box from 10feet away. Tasted like fish more so than shrimp. Just overall bad food. It is not like it was years ago.

We are on vacation and have added Carey Hillard Restaurants to eat again. Great food is very reasonable priced. Our hostess & waitress shared honestly their likes and described them to us. We loved the onion rings, casear salad with chicken & salmon, chicken fingers, and a triple layer sandwich. We did not have room for dessert, but they have a good list to choose from. May be next time. Look for Destiny. She's amazing. Thank you for Great food and service.
Wheelchair accessibility: We had a person with a walker. Easy to get around. No steps or stairs.

Worst crab cake sandwich ever. Manager explained to me all they do is warm up premade crab patties. Soggy and poor presentation. Remade my sandwich and burned it. Won't be back.

I had to give a five-star because I wasn't going to take anything away from my Bill hilliards and Carrie hilliards started back in the day. Course we know food prices are up all around the world go to Walmart and they'll prove that. I got the campus platter I used to get it back in the day. It's like $3 or $4 more than the shrimp or oyster platter which you could get a combo for like nine bucks. I think I paid 25 or $28 for a cabinets platter and very few little bit of food on the platter didn't even have no hush puppies. No substitution not even for the fish. I know you guys can do better. Let me go back years ago I went through there and got oyster stew they grab some at the refrigerator and do it in the microwave and gave it to me and it's still cold they said we'll go back and put it back in the microwave and they did this was over at the one on highway 21 right there by 307 Dean Forest road. When they brought back to me I ate it wouldn't happy with it and doggone if I didn't chip a tooth on a oyster shell that was in there. The guy that register can't remember it's been too many years more than 10 more might be 15 I think actually 2001 - 2005. I got to say oh I can give you another thing a oyster Stew . You know anymore I just call things the way I see them! It don't make me right it don't make me wrong it's just the way I see it. Other people try for themselves. Again not the same as backman Bill and Carrie was alive

We stopped in for dinner while traveling and a recommendation from the hotel clerk. Wow! We were very impressed with the service and quality of food. Everything is handmade and you can tell by the quality and taste. Their Cole slaw is unique and some of the best I’ve ever had. The fried and grilled shrimp were delicious, and the hand-battered onion rings were excellent. Definitely recommend.

Ordered the captain’s platter and it was the best in Savannah, BUT.. the PASTA salads was / is the grossest i’ve ever had the discomfort of having on my plate. THE PASTA salads should have a warning label on it explaining that the contents may be harmful to your tastebuds.
