My friends and I have gone here multiple times and the atmosphere is usually great. The sunset is great but we went here last night for my friend’s birthday and she’s never had a problem with her ID until the bartender rudely said “oh honey, I’d get this updated, not everywhere will take a vertical ID. I will this one time but you gotta get this fixed.” She said this in front of everyone. The whole bar got quiet and she caused a scene. Didn’t even wish my friend a happy birthday. She just wanted the money from the high noon she served her. Very poor experience. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. Probably won’t be back again.
The strangest bar I’ve ever been to. Felt instantly like I wasn’t welcome and shouldn’t be there. First and last time going here - I somehow dodged this bullet of a bar after living here my whole life.
Came to enjoy catching up with friends and enjoying a drink after playing bingo before heading home. Walked in, the bartender did nothing but glance me over the entire night, never offering a drink and it wasn’t a full bar whatsoever. My friends and I were stared down the whole evening - stares that could have cut glass, they were direct and made us feel super uneasy.
It was also dead silent in here. No background music at all. There wasn’t enough chatter for there to be no radio or tv noise on. So, I go to the jukebox to play a few songs to break the tension of it being so cold and weird.
Bartender then says… “don’t put more than $5 in because we have a DJ coming in soon to setup. Just trying to help you out.” That was the first time she said anything to me the whole night.
Oh, thanks for the heads up… weird they have a DJ coming, I thought, but hey - better than it being no noise. Only to realize an hour plus later there was still no DJ, it was still dead quiet, and she LIED because she simply didn’t want us there.
We weren’t trying to party, we’re 36 years old, literally just wanted to catch up with friends after our bingo game.
I couldn’t stay there or support this business any longer. Never have I ever felt so unwelcome in a place right in my hometown.
Cool local spot with good views of the water. Incredibly unfriendly service. Did not feel welcome at all. My wife and I opened a tab, realized how unwelcoming the surly bartender was, quickly finished our drinks and lefr after paying. My wife used the bathroom before we left, and a dude walked out of the women’s bathroom after completely blowing it up. Will not be coming back lol.
Sunset with friends
Fun place to have drinks and watch the sunset. Marina is really nice.
Great spot to have a few drinks and enjoy a view of the river.
Sunsets are beautiful here and sitting by the water very peaceful. Bar staff friendly and efficient. They have homemade food for free area ( crockpots & all ) for customers when we go in, not sure how often they do it. Maybe on weekend only. They also had popcorn.

Chill dive bar on the water ??
Nothing cheerable of this bar. Don’t go there if you are not locals. This place seems only welcome the locals, I meant, from the island. They don’t welcome any out of townners. The minute we walked in, the bartender made a quite obvious signal that “I don’t welcome you here”. We asked whether we can sit at the bar, she said “I suppose “. We asked any local beer, she just stared us and shrugged. This bar should change the name to “cheers to locals only”.
Touted as dog friendly but not! No dogs allowed after 7:00 pm, which sucks when you made a trip then get turned away!!

So here's the deal. Fabulous views, decent, drink prices. However, no kitchen. They do a pot-luck type food service several times a week. I didn't get the opportunity to try any of the pot-luck (wasn't happening when I was there) I heard from a local it's awesome and first come first served. If you're looking for a place to watch the sunset and enjoy an adult beverage. You won't be disappointed. Cheers

We have repeatedly supported this establishment until an unfortunate experience that happened this evening. We tried to stop for an adult beverage and sat at the bar. The bartender repeatedly passed us by and ignored us while we were just trying to get served. I was with my asian friend and the white male bartender repeatedly passed us to serve the other white customers. In fact, the last draw was when he passed us to serve the white woman who had just come up to the bar right next to us. I guess that non-white customers are not welcome at this establishment. I will not be returning.

A true local's dive bar. There's no frills or anything extravagant, but just good priced drinks with a phenomenal view of the marsh. This is the place to be to watch the sunset over the water on a Friday or Saturday night. Highly suggest

There is no food. Drinks only and very convenient to the Donnelly Marina on Turner Creek. Not upscale at all but local and very casual. Background music is usually playing and karaoke happens once a week. Always friendly.
